How can i fix my lag on age of empires 3?
To prevent the dreaded LAG you can lower your resolution to 600 x 800 for online gaming. Also I don't know what processor, ram, graphics, internet security that you have. The security program may be slowing it down if you haven't let it "allow" A of E 3. Also lower every option for the graphics such as dynamic lighting, water movement, ground / building detail, etc to the lowest settings. Doing this will increase the performance when you are gaming OK. Oh yeah when your gaming on line, don't use bitcomet, limewire, etc because these programs use a lot of ram to run and it will slow you down.

Check the audio settings on your system's PC. Also look for a patch for games for Win7. Hope this helps.
Age of Empires --- Problem---?
just a week ago i bought the game age of empires III. It works great when i play it on my computer but when I go online and i am playing a game i get this sign that says "Out of Sync Exit and try again" and it kicks me out of the game im really pissed off. This just happened to me after nearly an hour and half of game play and we were probably gonna wrap it up and win in at least half an hour. I have a good computer and fast internet that i never have trouble with. Is this preventable? plz give me ur thoughts or a solution on how to fix this problem thank you
Age of Empires 3 problem...??
when i install age of empires 3, i get this error message... "Error 1335.The cabinet file 'Disk1C~1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package." then at the bottom.. you have the option to "Abort" , "Retry" and "Ignore".. what will i do...???? i tried the option retry but i keep getting the error message... if i abort and ignore, then i cannot install AoE3... anyone know what you gotta do to fix this problem...??
Problem with Age of Empires 3?
first of all Warchiefs won't install because you don't have the original AOE3 installed, you need that first because its an expansion the DATAP.bar is a file added when patching so it sounds like something went wrong when you were patching. try to repatch and if that doesn't work you should just have to reinstall it and that should fix everything
Is there an Age of Empires 3 zoom fix that lets you zoom out farther?
I cant even get it to work on my computer :( do you mean the weird zoom where the bottom of the page seems closer than the top? I am not sure hot to fix that, Warcraft 3 does the same thing and it bugged me but i got used to it. I am pretty sure your mouse scroll will zoom in and out if that helps.

The game goes out of sync because of latency between the two players. If you are playing locally, try playing on a lan network if not then try playing on Voobly.com; its free and very elegant. Why isn't Age of Empires 3 as popular as Age of Empires 2?
I'd like to point to the fact that AOE 2 in itself was a great game with a huge fanbase when AOE 3 was released and if you want a sequel to be more popular than the original game then you have to woo a large number of people. Valve was succesfull in converting almost all DOTA players to DOTA 2 by holding international tournaments. While Microsoft didn't spend too much time on online gaming or e- sports, Valve saw potential and money in the field and they invested in it.AOE 2 was better at balancing the mechanisms in game. For example: Walls are basically obsolete in AOE 3 because cannons do way too much damage to the walls but in AOE 1 you needed siege equipment at the right position to destroy walls. In case of a counterattack on the siege weapons not many could be saved beacuse of low movement speed but in AOE 3 it is easy to run away with your horse artillery and all.About the graphics ,of course it is better than its predecessor because of the time difference in the release date of these games.
