How To Fix Horrible Highlights

Can you dye your hair over highlights?

You're hair will not fall out from dying it over the highlights. The only thing that is going to really hurt your hair is bleaching it constantly. If you don't like the highlights most salons will fix your hair for you if you do not like what they have done. If not you can go to the store and buy a box of color yourself and it will come out just fine. If your highlights are really light then you may have to do the color once and then in a week color it again so that it stays to the hair. I recently colored my hair from a bleach blonde to a chocolate brown and the color has stayed quite nicely.

How do I get rid of horrible highlights?

I just highlighted my hair with Revlon Custom Effects highlights in H20. I hate it! On the box it didnt say it would wash out, and it didnt say it was permanant. Anybody know? If it is permanant, how can I get the color to fade?Is there any tricks? Can i hide it some how? If yes, how? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!1

Ugly highlights?

well if theyre permanent then you cant exactly get RID of them until they grow out and you cut your hair. The only other option is to indeed re-dye them. sorry but thats all you can really do.

How can I fix white-blonde highlights?

no im afraid they will not fade go back to the salon and tell them you don't like it at all and its not what you wanted ask them to put a toner in it this wont last that long but it will tone it down, and for the price they charged you!You should deffinatly go back!!!
the reason for it been darker at the ends is probaly from the brown colour you put in,so they should of known to use different developers with the bleach for the mid-lenghts and ends and the roots tell them this and that you have consumer rights its like buying a dress with a broken zip im sure anyone of those hairdresser would go back with it!!!! good luck

What can be done on bleached hair to fix bad lowlights?

Don’t fix it yourself, no no no! I think most who color their hair have had a disaster and completely sympathize with you. You’re now in the realm of fixing which means you find an expert because there are now multiple problems or you wait for the poor low lights to fade (they do).You don’t want to try to help the fading with harsh shampoo: your hair will get ruined.Look up, in the meantime to deal with weakened hair and porosity, Olaplex No. 3 at the Olaplex website. It really helps with porosity and you want your hair to be in masterful condition before adding any product. It makes your hair very soft and healthier. It is not a conditioner, you shampoo and do a ton of conditioner after. Do make sure your shampoo and conditioner are sulfate-free - it will proudly say that on the front, L’Oreal and Pantene have a huge range of that.Natural conditioners, in my experience, are not fabulous, doing things to color and that is not what you want.Use conditioner, just the normal shampoo and conditioner kind, on dry hair (I know, gasp) leave it in, and then shampoo and condition.Hair disasters grow out, dying your hair one color will change it for too long. Hunt for an expert, and this will cost the moon. But you need your hair strong and the porosity issue fixed.Mane Addicts is a fab website for hair, issues, etc.

How do I fix my highlights? I'm not sure if I should dye my entire hair or just tone them down.?

About 5 months ago I got my hair highlighted at a salon. I wanted a natural looking ash blonde color, but the color came out a brassy blonde instead. The customer before me had bleach blonde hair and had some left over so the hairdresser used what was left on my hair. In an effort to fix my hair I had to go to another salon and have then dye the highlights the color of my roots. Now the brassy/bleach blonde streaks are back. I want to dye my entire hair a light brown color to get rid of them. But since the rest of my hair is already a lt brownish color Im just afraid that-if I dye it-my hair will become much too dark. Any suggestions?

Highlights turned light blue!?

Most ash based colors have a blue/violet base, some green, that is why your highlights turned blue.

Purchase a semi permanent deposit only color in level 7(brunette) N for natural. Apply this all over your hair. The natural brunette should blend and soften your existing colors yet leave your hair a pretty light-brown color. This will not lighten your hair at all just deposit some color.

Omg i HATE my new highlights!!!?

aaaaghhh!!! i got highlights done today and they are horrible

my hair is naturally dark brown and the hairdresser put ash blonde highlightes in .. so now my hair looks grey

what should i do? i deffinately dont want to go back to her , because i showerd her what i wanted and she did the opposite!!

so .. if i wash it a lot of times will the colour not be so bright..and merge into the rest of my hair a bit??

also .. do u think that i think it looks grey because its a change?

thanks xx

p.s. if you have had highlights and hated them..can u tell me if u ended up liking them or anything? i hope im not the only one!!

My hair feels like straw and looks horrible, what can I do?

Start with trimming off dead and splitting ends to prevent the hair splitting any further up the strand. With fresh ends maintenance from that point forward will be most effective. Detangle with wide tooth combs or picks. Try to avoid using excessive heat on your hair; if you must use heat use thermal protection. Use sulfate free shampoo like JOICO. My personal favorite is Schwarzkopf Bonacure Time Restore Therapy \U0001f497 Good luck!
