Is there a way to forward my Yahoo mail to my Gmail account?
I would email everyone that recognizes your Yahoo email and tell them that your new email is the Gmail one. OR I use both Yahoo and Gmail and what I do is I use Outlook to retrieve both emails at the same time. Yahoo says that you have to use it's paid premium email to forward or use POP, but there's a way you can forward your free Yahoo mail. If you want to use Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird or other third party email clients to view your email you have 2 options. Then Click on Configuring email clients towards the bottom. Choose the appropriate link for your mail client. I currently utilize version 2.0.0.4 of Thunderbird and version 0.8.3 of YPOPS (there is a more recent version of YPOPS that you need if you are Yahoo Beta Mail) and have no problems.

How to forward Yahoo email as an attachment in the new Yahoo Mail ?
With Yahoo Mail Classic I can forward email as email attachment to my POP3 account so that a copy could be kept there. When the forwarded mail arrived in my email client (eg Outlook Express) I would open the email and double click on the attachment. The attachment would then open up into an email in my email client as though the original email was sent directly to my POP3 account. It will have the original sender name under "sender" and not my name. It will also have the original date of the email. I can then sort the email into its respective folder. Apart from a greater layer of security and I would also only keep a permanent copy of the emails that I want in my computer for future offline access. In Yahoo Mail Classic it has a drop down menu under "Forward" button or I could press Control button and click "Forward". I like Yahoo Mail over Hotmail and Gmail because of the availability of this important function to me. With the new Yahoo Mail this can no longer be done!! Worse still, we now can not switch back to Yahoo Mail Classic (this function was removed recently) just to forward the email as attachment and then switch back. Yahoo has removed this switching back function permanently now that it is off Beta mode. We were not warned of this. This recently updated guide here mentioned about holding down the Ctrl button on the keyboard and clicking Forward.
