Losing weight with braces?

That is awesome that you lost 15 pounds, but hopefully it didn't happen in like one week. That is a drastic weight loss, and may be unhealthy if lost in just 1 week or something like that.
I had braces, and I wasn't eating anything really because it hurt to eat things. Actually, everything I ate hurt my mouth. Thank God my braces are off now. LOL =]
I seemed to eat less, but I don't think I lost that much weight. I don't even think I lost any weight. But I always ate yogurt and icecream. LOL :D

Your milk contains enough protein (8 grams per cup).
Don’t ruin it with crappy protein shake powder that nobody should eat, braces or no braces.
(Only people who cannot read labels or cannot cook an egg eat that crap).

Good high protein food are dairies (milk, cheese, yogurts...Greek yogurts have 14 to 16 grams of protein), eggs (whites and no more than one yolk a day), meat, fish and poultry (do not eat the skin), legumes (beans, peas, lentils, including soy milk and tofu that comes from soybeans which are legumes), grains (rice, maize...called corn in the US, whole-wheat pasta and bread, rye, buckwheat, oats, millet...) and nuts/seeds (peanut butter included, even if peanuts are not nuts but are from the pea family, so they’re legumes).
Combine legumes and grains and you’ll get complete protein. Like eating a slice of bread with beans, or adding rice to lentils, or peas to pasta, or eating peanut butter with bread…add jelly/jam and you get a PB&J sandwich.
Food with both calcium (for the bones) and protein (for the muscle) is the best like legumes and grains.

Don’t forget your carbs for energy to exercise easily and efficiently and your dietary fats to feed your growing organs including your brain, spine, skin…

yes it is a great way to get into a good eating habit.
i found that i ate a lot less in the 2 years after wearing braces because i had to wear a plate 24/7 and only took it out to eat.
I stopped snacking because it was kinda gross to take it out in public, then it needed to be cleaned.
So yeah, your eating habits will most likely change for the better, which will most likely result in weight loss :)

Put simply smoking causes staining of your teeth. once the brackets are removed you may be left with whiter areas where the brackets have been removed from. smoking may also cause discolouration of the elastic bands. smoking is also the 2nd most important factor in gum disease. when you are wearing braces maintaining good oral hygiene is difficult enough without the added effects of smoking. as for weight gain vs weight loss it purely depends on the person. ive seen smokers woh are fat and ones that are thin. smoking should never be the last resort to lose weight especially when you seem like a sensible person who is aware of the risks. x

Amazing question but i would suggest you gain muscles rather than weight if you want to beach body .If you are skinny than follow this . Generally your metabolism is very high . our body is like bonfire .. the more wood you put the more fire it has and you have got a great fire dude but you need more wood to keep that fire .Eat more calories dense rich foods that are higher in calories . Eat complete protein foods every 3–4 hours .Don't go to weightgainers and mass gainers they are generally loaded with just high carbs and nothing much . rather its best to make shakes at home and try to consume that at least 2wice a day .shake ingredients- milk +oats+banana/berries + peanut butter 2 scoop + 1 scoop protein .you will love the results because we both are on the same boat . i tried this and gained alot of amount of muscles in a month only .and eat more white rice , sprouts,dry fruits and sweet potato to add muscle to be a sexy dudeand don't workout more than 4 days a week .Sleep at least 8–9 hours .you will be at your best in 30–40 days and than you can thank me for the advice .I gained around 4–5 kg easily even after being a hardgainer.
