How to get a job when you have no experience?

Hello,

I just recently graduated with a Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, and while I ve found plenty of jobs -- they all require experience. Now, I do have some related experience, but all these jobs require five to ten years of prior work in the field. I just don t understand how I can break into the field when I have extremely minimal experience.

How can you get a job when you are homeless?

I don't ever recommend living in a tent or a vehicle or anywhere else outside, if you can possibly avoid it! You want to either get a cheap motel room by the day (which means, you'll need a job that pays daily) or, go to a tolerable shelter. You probably won't be able to work if living outdoors; it can be done. It is very, very tricky-- especially, if you don't own a vehicle. It involves finding a job with a convenient location and work schedule that will permit you to visit your storage unit every day, and wherever you go to bathe and shampoo your hair. You may find an outdoor spicket on someone's house that you can use to wash your face and hair. A few public restrooms are designed for one person at a time. Bring a roll of classic absorbent Bounty paper towels to wipe up the water you get on the floor. Some homeless folks join a gym or register at a community college, in order to use the showers there. If you are willing and able to work in food service, you may be able to support a motel room, thanks to the tips you'll receive as a server. On days you're on the schedule, you will get paid (in tips) by the day. If on any given day you don't have enough $$ for the motel, you'll have to panhandle.Storage facilities and apartment complexes hire resident managers for their properties.A very few churches have an apartment on church property where they will allow a homeless person to stay temporarily, for free. (Note: This resource is customarily shrouded in extreme secrecy!!)You may be able to find a tolerable homeless shelter and stick it out long enough to save money for a roof. I hesitate to put this out there, but here goes: A live-in housekeeper position, or an on-site apartment maintenance position. Or, a day labor staffing service; blue-collar work that pays by the day, so that you can get a motel room. (Bad jobs; for desperate folks!)Not recommended: an intolerable shelter (most are!) You can relocate to a city with a street newspaper. You purchase papers and sell them for profit. This may require supplemental panhandling.Don't hesitate to relocate to a different city/county/state if there are no resources offered where you are, or if you have exhausted them.

How do I get a job when I don't have knowledge on anything?

A job advert with a huge list of requirements can be intimidating, but you don't always need to meet everything the employer asks for. If you don't quite have the experience they want, but you think you could do the job, then write the best application you can and apply anyway. Only you can decide the life that's right for you, but with the uncertainty of entrepreneurship also comes tremendous freedom and accountability.Steve Jobs perhaps summed this idea up best when he said: “When you grow up you tend to get told that the world is the way it is ... Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact: Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you. And you can change it, you can influence it … Once you learn that, you'll never be the same again.”Get started with the training and software for free now:Operation Quick Money Training Program

How to get a job with no experience?

Everyone's got to start somewhere.

Choose the stores you'd like to work in. Go in and look around and identify different jobs and functions there. Imagine yourself working there. Go to the company's website and do background check on the company.

Write a good application letter (there are many good models on the Internet - search in Google).

On the application write your skills and try to answer the question why they should hire you. What you wrote "i want to become more responsible and mature since i think a job would do just that" is great stuff - mention that as well as "I am quick at learning new things and eager to learn".

Then after sending the application, call or drop in. If you're really interested, someone will soon hire you. I got my first job at a department store because I walked in and said that "I really want to work here".

If you don't get the first job, don't be discouraged, learn from the interview and knock on the next door. With such a great attitude like yours, you are bound to get success. All the best!

Can a runaway get a Job?

It depends on your age if you're 16 or 17 remember to get a job you need a social security card and in order to get one of them you have to show a birth certificate. Now if you have one you might be able to get a fast food job, not at a chain, but at one of those small places.
Small towns and small business don't have a problem as long as you're friendly, and do your work, they aren't going to check into your background unless you look guilty about something.
I hope you have a friend in Oregon or its going to be tough going. Its rare they go after runaways especially if the teen is older. They go after babies, little kids, younger teens just starting high school more. There is a counseling hotline call - 24/7-

How can I get a part time job when I have no work experience? If you are enrolled in college, you have work experience. You're going to school aren't you? That takes work.Well the obvious is to have your friends do your applications on line. I assume you're not looking for a part time job as a rocket scientist or brain surgeon. The on line application is going to get you in the door for a quick interview so before you apply have all the required info in front of you along with some good character references. There are a lot of part time jobs that being shy won't prevent you from doing. Anything from phone answering to being a Gardner , pizza delivery guy or a messenger (delivering documents across town) in a big city, a dishwasher, a part time bar back or bar tender. A bouncer, mail sorter during the holidays, a dog walker and on and on and on.Definitely there are poster boards or on-line classifieds at your school where employers can get relatively dependable people for part time work.Additionally, there should be some sort of undergraduate placement service on campus that will help.Everybody has to get their first job, so there’s no stigma or reason why you shouldn't have one.
