But before going online, you should be equipped with the necessary tools and skills. Tools would include desktop computer, camera and good internet connection. Skills such as social media expertise, admin jobs, computer and good typing skills are also needed depending on the position you are applying for. The basic skill that you should learn though is touch typing because some employers would require a specific speed for you to qualify. Need not worry about this because there are lots of typing program for you to choose from. One good example for this is Typesy. So if you might want to go digital now, might as well develop the necessary skills as early as possible.

How to get a job with no experience?

Everyone's got to start somewhere.

Choose the stores you'd like to work in. Go in and look around and identify different jobs and functions there. Imagine yourself working there. Go to the company's website and do background check on the company.

Write a good application letter (there are many good models on the Internet - search in Google).

On the application write your skills and try to answer the question why they should hire you. What you wrote "i want to become more responsible and mature since i think a job would do just that" is great stuff - mention that as well as "I am quick at learning new things and eager to learn".

Then after sending the application, call or drop in. If you're really interested, someone will soon hire you. I got my first job at a department store because I walked in and said that "I really want to work here".

If you don't get the first job, don't be discouraged, learn from the interview and knock on the next door. With such a great attitude like yours, you are bound to get success. All the best!

What are your first job experiences?

My first job was working as a kitchen porter in a highly-regarded hotel complex when I was 16. I had no idea what I was signing up for and in hindsight I think the only reason I got the job was because the manager interviewing me was a bit of a perv and fancied me.

It was a horrible job with extremely long hours over split shifts and awful work, but it only lasted 2 months before I went back to school to do my A Levels. But it did teach me about the basics of any job l like commitment and punctuality, and threw me into a work environment way outside the comfort zone of school. I was working every day with a bunch of chefs who were loud, abusive, vulgar, and often very sexist and as a teenage girl I found myself developing a pretty thick skin against a lot of their misogyny.

It also left me with a lifelong appreciation for all the horrible sh*t service staff have to put up with, and I make a point of always treating service staff with the respect they deserve for doing their horrible job,

Im 16 i need a job but i have no experience?

In all honesty, fast food may be the way to go. I got my first job when i was 16 at McDonald's. I also quit working there 6 months later.

I also got my second job when i was 16 at a grocery store. It was much better. So if you don't want to try fast food, then try applying at your local grocery stores or drug stores (pharmacies like Rite Aid or something).

You could also apply at different gyms in the aquatics department to be a lifeguard in the pool (there are teenage lifeguards at the gym i currently work) or you try working at before/after school programs (basically, you watch school aged kids and play games with them. you are NOT a care giver so you don't need a degree or any real experience. all you need is patience with children).

Good Luck!

How to get a first job? 20 years old.?

All you can do is keep trying. There's no science to getting a job, it's all in confidence and experience. Just keep applying, make sure you follow up on your applications, most people don't bother with that and that is why they are left in the cold. You've had interviews before, so you know what the procedure is, and know what's involved. Just keep trying!

How can a teenager (17) get a job with no experience?

Kudos to you for wanting to start earning money and be independent.  Keep applying.Everyone starts their first job with no work experience. By definition, your first paying job is your first paying job. So everyone deals with the challenge of getting a first job with no work experience. You are starting at the right places - fast food joints are great starting jobs. It is a bit surprising that the first five places you applied turned you down. Did they say why?  You need to find out why you were turned down.Unless those fast food places are unusual, they should be constantly hiring. If you got turned down five times, you need to understand why. This means you have to do an objective assessment of your application and interviewing process. If you cannot be objective, find someone who can. If you ask mommy and daddy - they will ignore your faults and say you are perfect and should get the job. Ask someone who can give you an unbiased assessment of your personality. Do a mock interview with a teacher or other adult and ask them for candid feedback. If you are doing something wrong, you need to know about it and fix it. Nothing to be ashamed of - you are new to the job market and you just need to learn how to navigate these strange waters.

No work experience and trying to find a job in the mall, where do I start?

Ok. I'm towards the end of my senior year and I FINALLY talked my mom into letting me start working. I'm 16 turning 17 sunday so now I have a GREATER chance of finding jobs. I'm going to go to the mall in half an hour to go job searching by myself. How do I go about it? I have no work experience and mainly want to have a job in a clothing store. I don't care about the pay I just want to be able to have a job in the mall. Do I have to dress professional just to go looking for a job? What do I say to them when I ask if they're hiring or not, and if they are, can I fill out an application. HELP! I'm only looking to see if they're hiring and I'm already running scared....PLUS I'm going by myself.
