@ Judy: I understand what a refund is. My taxes are withdrawn before I get my paycheck--and no one I have ever spoken to has ever owed money when taxes are done this way. More often than not (in fact, almost all the time) it seems that the government takes too much out as a general practice--which is why people habitually receive a refund (if you ask for it before 3 years is up). Of course, that's assuming you haven't had any on-the-side jobs (ex: ebay shop) that you must report.

Last year I went to school and I got $1900 from federal bell grant but I still have to paid 119.70 out of my own pocket money. On my w2 form, it said that I paid 12.37 on Federal Withheld, and 521.89 on my social secuirty tax withheld, and 122.06 on medicare tax withheld. I think i will get nothing out, but i think it is better than filing my tax with my soon to be ex husband because he didn't pay this tax so they will be subtract from his tax return or he will owe them. Plus whenever we file together, i never get anything back not even half of the money. Also, i don't owe a house or anything. I pay half of my rent, food and etc. I also paid my school by myself, with no help from my lazy selfish husband. also, we have no kids together, and I don't have no dependable. Just myself, also i did have a 401k plan with my company and it was only 252.55 but when i quit my job i took the money out of my 401k, and i end up getting 232.00 back, after the tax and stuff

What if I have a back in my final year in ip university?
That’s really a personal choice.I had a backlog in one of my exam from 5th sem and i couldn’t clear it in 7th sem.I decided that i want my credits to be complete 214/214.If you drop the exam then it will be mentioned in your degree certificate as well as in your consolidated mark sheet and people will ask questions abt it .If you take the exam and you have to spend 6 months after the 8th sem studying for one subject. but in the end it will only show that you completed Bachelors on Dec,2013 instead of Aug,2013 . It is a very minor difference and nobody even notices it as long as they are not looking carefully.In the meantime you can work somewhere based on your provisional certificates or apply for govt exams SSC etc
