How To Get Big Pageant Curls

Curling iron for dog?

We used to use curling irons decades ago for straightening the little flips along the toplines, but gave that up for better grooming techniques.

The judge will be able to feel the hairspray on the coat, rinse it back out (unless she is a poodle and then the judges just don't care how much junk is in the dogs!)

If you are working on a topline, use a force dryer and blow with the grain of the coat. Lay a damp towel or blanket on the topline and remove it just before going into the ring.

A product called Coat Handler is a spray on light conditioner that will help lay down unruly hair.

Some of you folks would probably have a heart attack if you knew what some exhibitors put on their dogs (I am not saying it's ethical, just saying it happens a lot)

My first pageant? HELP!?

Okay Ill help:
1.) You should act self confident and like you own that pageant stage. As if everyone is there just to see you! You should WOW the judges with your confidence leevl. Make sure to smile. If you are nervous (which everyone is) do not show it. You have to show them that your better than everyone else.
2.)What you should wear should reflect on your skin tone. Try to keep away from white dresses because it will make you look like your wearing a wedding dress and its hard to pull off. If you have a nice tan (try to work on the tan) wear sparkley white colors. Strapless or single strap dressees work best because they look more elegant. If there is swimsuits, wear white or really colorful swimsuits (unique) Just make sure when you pick something out to wear that it doesnt just look good, but shows your bodys best qualitiees.
3.) Makeup tips! Do foundation that matches your face and is YOUR color! Then some nice pink lipgloss, and your blush should be pink or a small bronze. Try to keep your eye shadow small but to be able to be seen from the judges point of view. It should ALSO (DONT FORGET) match what your wearing! If not, it will look plain silly.
2.) Your walk! Make sure you practice your smile and walk infront of a mirror. If you have a full lenth mirror then practicing walking elegantly infront of it. Dont look at your feet! Just look straight ahead of you (at the judges) MAKE SURE to look all the judges in the eyes during the pageant (it will show them confidence)
3.)Your hair!!!Make it have VOLUME! Very important! And make sure it looks different for every different category! Like curly an poofy (half up half down) for dress, and straight for swimsuit. It will look cuter if you style it different ways, and will make you look unique!
4.) PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE! I know you dotn have much time, but you should use what you have left, to practice.Strut down a busy street. Its all about FACIAL EXPRESSION! Without it, its nothing. Make sure your confident, elegant and flawless!
BTW! Be yourself with your clothes! And HAVE FUNN! Pageants arent worth it if you arent having funn!

PRCTICE!! AND HOPED I HELPED!

What’s a good hairspray to use to hold big curls in fine hair?

Getting fine hair to hold a curl can be one of the biggest challenges when getting ready for a pageant or formal event. I personally love using Smart Solutions Pageant Perfect Style Set! The set has everything (including hairspray) you could need for styling your hair.

What are some overnight styles to wear to bed and wake up with your hair wavy and/or curly?

My hair is naturally wavy, but it's pitiful waves. I want CURLY.

What are some styles to wear over night?
I usually take a shower at night and brush my hair out with a comb a little and then put it up in a bun on top of my head with two ponytail holders.
Is there any others? Also, I don't want my hair really big on the top because people make fun of me because my hair is so big. I'm a pageant diva, I'm used to it. Anyways, if y'all could give me some ideas that would terrific!
Thank ya.

How do I create tight ringlet/spiral-ie curls using foam roller or a 1" curling iron?

I have pretty long hair as well. I love the spiral curls. It's gorgeous and it stays decent for two to three days. I use a small curling iron because I like to have the tight curls. I also use Aussie hair spray because it smells great, my hair stays flexible rather than stiff, and it doesn't damage my hair. The best thing I could tell you is to curl it yourself with the curling iron and use a hair spray that will not stiffen your hair or give it a bad smell. Start like you usually would with curling but as you curl your hair around the iron, turn it so that the end is up in the air. Leave it there for just a few seconds (depending on how well your hair curls) and pull down tightly to keep the shape but not pull your hair out.

Curling a toddler's hair?

I was just wondering if anyone has ever successful been able to curl their toddler's hair and have it last for more than a couple of hours? I would love to have my daughter's hair curled for her upcoming birthday, she is turning 2. She has a bit of natural wave at the ends of her hair but it is mostly straight, and of course, it's that soft baby hair. I don't know if she would try to pull out foam sponge rollers or not, and I was just wondering if anyone had any tips on getting the curls to form nicely and how to keep them for a few hours or so. Her birthday party isn't til the 9th of April, but I figured I will need to practice curling her hair a couple of times before then since she likes to fidget after a while. She will stay still as long as she has a book or something to occupy her when I normally braid her hair or put it up. Any advise and tips would be great! Thanks so much!

What happens if you get stung by a queen bee while you’re pregnant?

It seems obvious to me that this is the opening scene of a B movie.A beautiful sunny day, with the sun shining in a bright blue sky, the flowers waving gently in a grassy meadow. A pregnant woman and her handsome husband are having a picnic, pouring champagne and laughing, putting little morsels of fruit into each other’s mouths. The camera zooms in on a queen bee flying slowly through the enormous stems of the flowers. It’s obvious that she’s a queen bee because she is three times the size of the other bees, and she is flying in a regal manner, waving her antennae from side to side the way Queen Elizabeth does that little wave during public appearances. She is obviously a pageant queen.Tempted by the delicious smell of the fruit, she lands on the pregnant woman’s belly. Seeing an enormous bee crawling on her, the woman lets out a shriek of alarm (not a full throated horror movie scream, we’re saving that for later). Startled by a sudden movement, the queen bee stings the poor woman, who cries out in pain and collapses with a graceful, yet dramatic flair.Closeup of the queen bee, writhing in agony because she has left her stinger in her victim. She sheds a tear for her abandoned children and expires, also in a graceful yet dramatic way. The other bees gather around her in mourning, and carry her body off to be left in a high treetop while the husband carries his fainting, yet still pregnant wife in the opposite direction. There is a minor but important scene in the hospital, where we meet the pediatrician, who also happens to be a hobbyist who raises bees in her rooftop apartment. This will be revealed as an important development later, but for now we have to be satisfied with a simple pan of her returning to her apartment, with a glimpse of the humming hives on her balcony. We skip ahead six months to the birth of a beautiful baby girl. With black and gold curls. You can see where this is going, can’t you? The little girl grows up surrounded by bees. She develops a craving for honey. By the time she is four or five, she is constantly surrounded by an honor guard of drones, who keep all human interaction at bay while courting their human queen.Things get very odd after that, especially once she reaches puberty. I’m not telling you about that. It’s just too weird.Eventually the National Guard has to be called out to deal with her.

Are falsies a MUST for prom?

I was watching a prom-related youtube video and the girl basically said that false eyelashes are a must because they enhance your pictures and overall appearance but im on the fence about it because 1. my eyelashes are already long as heck,
2. i dont like the idea of fake eyelashes being glued onto my eyelids and
3. i dont want to deal with the trouble of taking them off.

so yeah are they highly recommended or nah?
