How To Get Gamer Friends To Talk To In Skype

Online Friends Better than Real-Life Friends?

I'm 15, have an average of 80%, and I started played an MMORPG called WonderKing 4 years ago, I got closer to the community there and even sometimes Skype them. I am a moderator on their forums and from 2 years playing the game, I felt that I am closer towards them than I am with my real friends, they are more mature (Sometimes), actually supports one another, and makes me feel better when my real-life friends aren't there. We all share the common like which is gaming. Though I still exercise, and stuff for my health, but I just prefer my friends there than my real-life friends.

I have a few real-life friends and they don't always treat me like friends. They are so obsessed with a game called "Handball" which isn't actually fun, in my opinion. All you do is smack a ball at the wall as hard as you can so the other player can't return it (Sorry for handball fans out there). I'm a nice, kind person but I'm not considered popular in my school and I don't really have a clique so not a lot of people want to talk to me because they're more afraid of their reputation.

Is it unusual to think that my online friends are better than my real-life friends? Is it bad for your health to think that way?

If 2 people have the same game but different consoles could they still play together?

They can but probably not in the way you are considering it.  Looking outside of your expectations it can be a lot fun though.  If you are both in separate gaming spaces but have a way to video chat (actually even just audio is ok) set some competition parameters before you start and lock and load at the same time but in single player.  Same difficulty, same opening stats and same requirements for gameplay.  You can put point levels on things like... who can get through each level or quest in the least amount of time, who collected more loot, who gets the most head shots and if you have video capture, you can each pull your "best of..." clips and compare for bragging rights.  I actually did this with friends pretty often when I was living in Tokyo.  My friends in the states and I would both want to hang out and play, but none of us are too hyped over multiplayer, so we would fire up skype and just play the same game at the same time... and talk a lot of smack and have fun.  I know it sounds weird, but give it a try you might be surprised.

How can I find random people online to Skype with?

Look outside of Skype. Twitter is full of people asking to talk, for example, sharing their Skype names. Usual warnings about talking with strangers apply.
