How To Get In Usa For Work

Working visa for the U.S.A?

Hello, i am a 25 year old qualified electrician from ireland. I live with my girlfriend here and we both have always wanted to live and work in america after visiting many times there. This may seem like we are jumping on the bandwagon and going there because of the economical down turn, however it is actually not like that and pretty much just bad timing for us as i have only recently qualified as an electrician and felt there was no point going there until i was qualified. I guess i am asking , is it impossable right now to get a working visa for us both there? How would one even go about getting it ? I am not even very bothered if i dont get an electrical job there straight away and would be more than happy to work at any general job just to live there for a while. Have any of you recently emmigrated there or can assist me with some helpful information in any way at all. I would truely appreciate it. Thank you in advance :)

Is it hard to get a working visa to USA?

No! Only qualified employers can apply for temporary employment visas for their qualified employees. You cannot apply. After you earn a masters degree in some high-tech field and develop some serious expertise in something rather esoteric, perhaps you find a job with a company willing & able to spend the vast time, money & hassle of getting you a visa. Employers really are not hiring less than masters degrees on visas anymore.

Over 31 million Americans are currently looking for work. Real unemployment rate is 23% (53% for age 16-24 - recent grads, new entrants to workforce, inexperienced, unskilled, etc). Another 27% of US workforce is self-employed, independent contractor, freelance, etc. So that's half the workforce without any "j-o-b!" This is early days of the Post-Job Era. Only fulltime jobs in traditional employer-employee relationships can be considered "jobs" in the employment visa sense, and those are rapidly vanishing. A great many of those with "jobs" can only get parttime - employers don't want to pay benefits if they cannot get around employment laws.

There's J-1 cultural exchange, but beware! Lots of scams here, and your friend's dad probably has no familiarity with the legalities, costs, etc.

How do I get a job in USA as a foreigner?

Finding and getting a job can be a challenging process, but knowing more about job search methods and application techniques may increase your chances of success. Before starting your job hunt, here are two things that you should focus on getting, as these can ease-up the procedure and increase your chances to be hired:Qualification or SpecializationEvery year literally hundreds and thousands of people apply for different jobs in United States but not everyone get through them and one of the major reasons is the lack of qualification or specialization. When you are a non US citizen (might be coming from UK, AU or maybe India) you either should have a high level of qualification for the job that makes you an ideal candidate as compared to other US applicants or you should be specialized enough to become a preeminence.2. Work PermitIf you are not a US citizen, in order to be an eligible candidate for a job you need an Employment Authorization Document (EAD) which is also known as work permit. Once you have the work permit the next thing you need is a Visa. Also the best job portal to find jobs in USA is amercanjobz.com

It does seem unlikely. however, actors in general can get P intertainer visas, although if you've done pornos back home and in other countries, perhaps you could try to get an O visa for someone with an international reputation. It's not enough to claim that, you'd have to prove it.

How can I get a job in the USA? (read details)

You have two options to consider:Pursue the migration process. This is quite lengthy and the requirements are rigid. Many who apply get denied but your chances are higher through a fiancé VISA or through a relative’s help. Once you get there, you may start applying for a job.Find a company which will be willing to help process your migration. Although not quite common, there are still companies which will assist applicants overseas towards acquiring a work VISA. Some may even fund a postgraduate program. There are websites you can find leads for this such as Monster or even LinkedIn. You may also search through job agencies which offer the option to find employer for you in exchange for a free which may either be paid during the job hunt process or after you found one via a salary deduction scheme.

Would it be possible for an Italian citizen to work in USA?

Hi Elvira

I have done what you are thinking and it is difficult to do but if you are steadfast and capable you will see your dreams come to fruition.

These days its more difficult because of the electronic instant biometric profiling of visitors.

there are many options depending on your background. You could try student visa and enrol in a college. That would get you there and qualify in a profession that they seek foreigners to do, nursing, Medical, scientists engineering etc. Whilst you are leatning you are also meeting Americans to help you to stay.

I have know people get visas for ethnic work as there were no suitable local people of that ethnicity to work in a restaurant or look after children.

You could also go on a Visa waiver or a tourist Visa and after 2 months you may find love with an American citizen (student), get married and stay on a K1 spouse / fiance visa (after 2 months) can't be pre arranged.

I would go for 3 months and see if you like it, find which state you like best and make contacts/friends there. Do not overstay your visa as you will be barred from coming back in the future for a long time. The old loopholes for re entering without detection are no longer there.

There are ways you see but not as easy as it is for you to move around Europe as USA makes it very difficult to gain entry for people, even married people, it takes 8 months to get permission to stay and work in USA.

Some people just go there on a visa waiver and work for cash, I have known some people go and open a business and stay for the rest of their lives or until the next immigrant immunity program comes along.(like the Clinton Bush one). If you choose that route you have to be a totally law abiding person do not drink drive and don't have a major traffic accident that you caused.

If immigration was a smoother and more timely process people would not have to seek out alternative routes to their dreams and goals in life. Jusst my opinion you understand.

If USA immigration was effective why are there 20 million Illegal people living and working happily in USA, if the Government were serious they would do something but they don't and never will. They need Illegal people to gain taxes from them and employ tens of thousands of people to deal with the problem.

Can i work in USA with a degree from a different country?

I`m a US citizen and Mexican citizen as well, I was wondering if i study and go to college in mexico, would i be able to work in the US. I want to major in Business. Also if a go to college in Mexico I would save a lot of money in tuition, because since i`m a mexican too, am able to go to a top university in Mexico for free. I would just have to pay for room, food, books, etc which adds to no more than $10,000 dollars for a whole year.

But may concern is that if i study in a different country would i still be able to work in US???
