How can i get into a rated R movie if im 16?
Me and my friend are going to go see paranormal activity tonight, now heres the delema, im 17 years old and shes 16 years old. so what that meens is that i can get in and she cant. what can i do so we can both get in without a problem or sneaking in?

I did this a couple of weeks ago and it's so easy!! If your a girl put on some more make up than usual, if your a guy go with a group of friends and dress quite casual. It has nothing to do with a persons age that you are with. The rule says anyone under 17 MUST see the film with a parent or legal guardian over 21.

This is largely going to depend on the specific movie theatre and their policies. A permit would be acceptable at my theatre as long as you have some kind of photo id to go with it. The permit tells us how old you are and the id tells us who you are. Without the photo id, the permit could be anybodies. Usually a school id and a permit would work just as well as a drivers license or state id card. EDIT I have accepted things as crazy as a yearbook for photo id when it was accompanied by a permit.

depends on where and when you go and who is taking tickets. You are supposed to be 17 but i dont remember until recently anybody really caring that much. So maybe you can get it or maybe you cant. What you should do is just buy a ticket to a movie that isn't rated R and is close to Friday 13th start time and then just go sit in on the one you want to see.

This is easy. Buy tickets for a PG or PG-13 rated movie, and then just go into another theatre. They'll never know, especially if you're mature looking for your age. They can't tell the difference between a seventeen year old and a twenty one year old, they're all sixteen year olds themselves. My mom used to do this all the time when she was a teenager and she never got caught, I did it too.
