How To Get My Parents To Buy Me A Macbook Pro For Christmas

I want a MacBook for Christmas!?

You know what? Macbook hardly drops its price, but may release a new update with better performance for the same price.

However, here is a trick. As more people are buying MacBooks over the Christmas season, the probability of MORE people returning MacBooks within 2 weeks is also higher.

Another trick. Go to an APPLE STORE and ask if they have refurbished items. Also, good to know that different stores have different refurbished or refreshed items at different prices too. And finally, check online under "HOT DEALS".

you may also consider a sleeve from http://www.estherkinson.com to protect your laptop externally, and give it a different look!

Good luck with your parents. Hope you go for the MACS.

My parents won't buy me a macbook............?

Good for your dad. Do you have any idea how much this stuff costs? You should consider yourself lucky for getting an iphone. Those aren't cheap either, neither is the data plan that you have. I hope your dad cuts you off when you're 18, and then you'll get to discover for yourself how hard it is to make a living, let alone afford all the cool gadgets.

What did you buy for your family as a Christmas present?

I actually made quite a few presents this year, as I typically do. I made some homemade ornaments which can be found here 38 Easy Handmade Christmas Ornaments. I also baked my traditional shortbread cookies, candied pecans, and candied bacon too!!As far as purchases go I love getting gifts from a website called Etsy. It’s a website that is comprised of thousands of different shops. What makes this a great place to shop is that most of the gifts you find on the site have been handmade, thereby allowing me to continue giving unique one of a kind type of gifts. You can also get a lot of things personalized. Some things that I purchased from that website were handmade ornaments. I also ordered some beautiful cuff bracelets that I had personalized with inscriptions, as well as some gorgeous keychains too. Here is a link if you would like to see some of their products Customized gift items personalized to order! by YouCustomized. Another shop on Etsy that I ordered from is this one Glass Wind Chimes, Rainbows, and Science by AzureFire, and their work is simply beautiful!! I also purchased a whole host of funny gifts from Join In. Geek Out. I purchased some funny t-shirts, some magnetic type sand, a chameleon little lamp/light that turns the colour of whatever the colour is that you put it on. I got a Air fryer for my parents like this one here Fries Without Oil Using Superheated Air. A really fun gift for my sister and her family from Budweiser (everyone that has seen it totally loves it) here is a link for you to see here Budweiser Red Light.I received a new Crockpot that I had been wanting from my parents. A gift card from my boyfriend, as well as a heated blanket for the car!! A really nice bottle of perfume from my sister. Some pj’s from my stepdaughter. A penguin mug and penguin socks from my stepson. Last but not least some homemade Maple Cream candy that my dad makes for each of us, but only at Christmas time!! If you’ve never had Maple Cream then you’re missing out!! It’s kind of like a fudge, but not!! lol It’s highly addicting and ohhhh sooooo gooood!! If you have a sweet tooth like I do, then you really need to try it out sometime!! If you want the recipe then just hit me up!! Do not google it, as there seems to now be some bogus recipe online that is nothing remotely close to the real Maple Cream that I’m speaking of!! :-)

How to convince parents to buy me a MacBook Pro?

So..I'm turning 13 on the 27th, and really want a MacBook Pro 13" for my birthday. But the problem is that I just got a new iPod touch a few months ago, and paid half of it, and my dad said it was my early birthday present, but I really want a MBP and my mum agrees but my dad does not. You may be thinking "a 13 year old kid with a MBP, he must be spoilt" infact no. I'm not spoilt at all, the only 2 electronics that I own myself is the 32GB iPod and a BB 9700(My dad's old BB, he gave it to me after he bought a new one) and all my friends are have way much(Xbox, PS3, MacBook Pro/Air, Beats, Going to a 6700K school trip that I have in the upcoming weeks, etc..) and I don't ask for much. But that's what my parents think. So can anyone suggest anyway to help my dad agree? When I first asked him, he say "Why,No. It costs too much" I am currently stuck with my dad's old laptop(he had it years ago) and it's an IBM lenovo T60, and it's broken from parts, not enough memory space for me, no webcam, I share it with my sister and brothers(small ones) and they ruined almost all of it,I'm even not an admin on it, I have parental controls!
Don't tell my "Pay half" "You're too young for a Mac" Serious answers please. My dad thinks that the T60 is a great computer, like it used to be in 2006 when it was released. He has his own laptop, so does mum.

My parents didn't get me what I wanted for Christmas? Read?

This year I only asked for one thing for christmas: a Nikon camera. I've ben dying for one and my parents said "maybe Christmas." The camera is on the expensive side, around $600, but my parents can afford it and it's the only thing I asked for. My mother had been saying it was too expensive, but I was hoping she was trying to trick me into thinking she hadn't got it when she had.
This morning, I ran to the tree hoping I got my camera I've been begging for, but my parents got me a Macbook Pro and matching camera iPod Touch instead with a pair of Uggs.
Of course I'm grateful for what I got, I'm just weirded out how they spent nearly $2,000 on a new laptop, iPod, and boots when I got a Dell for christmas last year, and I already have an iPod nano and some old Uggs.
All I really wanted was the camera but my parents spent more money on (while nice) gifts that I really didn't ask for.
I love my macbook and my iPod, but i think I hurt my parents' feelings this morning when I pulled them out and they weren't what I asked for. I couldn't even fake being happy, and i hate it, because what kid wouldn't be excited to get a Macbook?! I'm just kind of upset I didn't get my camera, which I REALLY want. What should I do..? Should I apologize to my parents aboutt my lack of excitement?

How do I convince my parents to buy me a Macbook Pro for my birthday?

Patrick, I am not going to be a man and fix the keys, as I am a girl.
So me being a man is impossible unless I get a sex change.
And I'm perfectly happy being female, thanks.
And also, the question is how to convince my parents to buy me a MacBook Pro. Not how to make my laptop less crap. Though I do whine about that...
Also, helpful answers please?

How do I convince my parents to get me a MacBook?

When I was growing up and wanted something expensive, I'd talk to my parents and we'd come to an arrangement where I'd save half and they'd contribute the rest (and that could be my birthday or Christmas gift). Mind you I've had a job, starting with babysitting at age 12, and I was conscientious about saving.I know everyone's family situation is different. You may have to be inventive and find a job or two and work on your goal alone. Even at uni I'd type papers for other students in order to make some pocket money. (Obviously, this was decades ago!)Good luck!
