How To Get My Parents To Let Me Get A Kitten.

How can I convince my parents to let me get a kitten?

I dont believe in letting cats outside, its too dangerous for them.... there are poisons, dogs, cars... other sick cats, foxes.... sick mice and sick birds that they will kill and eat ( its in their genes to hunt, they cant help it)..... and then they come into your house with the diseases..... so if you get this cat, keep in inside from the getgo......

Promise your parents you will oversee its care... scoop its litter every day... feed it every day..... brush it every other day (ragdolls need brushing) and that when you move out, you will take it with you..... so if your going to University.... this could be a problem if you live in dorms... so think about that as well.... it could work against you.....

Parents are hard to convince if they dont like something... you need to take them to wherever there are kittens... and show them how cute they are... and ragdolls are cool...... if you can show them a ragdoll that would be better.

I dont know your parents... i cant really give you advice on how to convince them. I have always had cats so it wouldnt be too too hard to convince me......

Good luck though

How To Convince Parents For Kittens.?

I really want two kittens.A ragdoll kitten and a tabby one.The problem is my parents dont want one.well my dad is ok with it but not my mom.i have no other pets and i have been begging for 7 straight years!!!i
i have tried everything, offering to care for them, cleaning playing etc and making powerpoints but nothing works!.
i found a good deal on kittens from the humane sociaty where the kittens get everything they need
microchip,spay/neatured,6 month insurance, shots and LOTS more.
In my family no one is allergic. My 4 year old sister has been babysitted by lots of people who own many cats.
One black cat even bonded with her!

How do I convince my parents to let me foster kittens?

I am a very responsible 11 year old girl.
I have a dog and I REALLY want to foster kittens, and have been wanting to for around eight months. I used to have two cats. I adopted them when they were kittens, however I only owned them for two years since one was shy, and saw a raccoon out the window, and then started "marking" all over the house, even though he was neutered. The other one was aggressive and attacked the dog. My Mom gave them away. I want to foster kittens because I hope to find one with a good personality, not too shy, not too aggressive, and then ask to adopt them.
I take care of the dog every day, I walk him and feed him. I have enough money (hopefully), to cover the cost of getting food/toys/etc for the kittens, and if not I am able to get more.
The only problems are that alot is going on in my life right now (my Grandmother passed away, and my parents HAVE to sell her ruins of a house to pay off her debt), and I recently switched schools.
We are also going to Iceland during Spring Break, and I plan to ask again afterwards, but any tips on convincing them?
Also, my Dad HATES cats, and barely agreed to them the first time. My parents seem to think that the same issue will just repeat itself, and I can assure them it won't.
I really NEED a cat though, since my new school is online and I almost never see my friends. I need a companion, and I have to make my parents understand this. I know I have a dog, but it will never really be the same. I am a cat person at heart.

How do i convince my parents to let me get a cat?

I had to campaign for a kitten for quite a while before I gave up and just happened to bring one home. I do not reccomend randomly bringing home animals.
Try making a price list. Price the food, litter, box, toys, vet bills, ect that come with owning a pet. Once you know how much money you're going to need start saving. Proving to your mother that she won't be financially responsible for your animal will make a big difference. Most vets sell "kitten packages" which is the first year's shots and such for about $100.
Plan where you would put the box so that the house won't smell of cat. Is she worried about the claws? Tell her you know how to clip them twice a month so that the cat can't scratch. I don't reccomend having a cat declawed. Declawing a cat, in my opinion, is cruel. The vet has to go in and remove the first nuckle of the animal which means they're basically cutting off their "finger tips." Can you imagine how incredibly painful cutting off your finger tips would be?
Get Kittens for Dummies and read it while around your mother, show that you're serious about taking care of your animal. Try asking to adopt from the pound, you'll be saving a kitten's life...and she'll be helping by allowing you to do so. Look up facts online such as; did you know that a kitten in born in the US every 4.2 seconds? A cat is destroyed every 7 seconds.
Keep working on it, I'm sure she'll cave. After all who can argue with an imformed, prepared, determined daughter? Good luck!

How can I convince my parents to let me get a Siamese?

Get two. They do better and socialize better in pairs. They are wonderful and loving animals. The care for your pets is essential for your parents' permission to be acquired. Also there is the expense of cat litter and cat food. You will need to be responsible for these items. The cats will take care of themselves, but you will need to make sure they are cared for, vetted, and nails clipped. (DO NOT have any cats declawed, that's cruel.) The expense is nominal, but you will need to be able to pay it. Given these points and your ability to meet them, you should be able to make a reasonable debate for have cats.

How to convince my parents to let me get another cat?

My friend's cat just had kittens and she's trying to get rid of the kittens as soon as possible. Tomorrow morning I want to ask my parents about the kitten. I already have 2 cats and 1 Pitbull. I feel like they'll say no because I never help with the animals but I'm planning to help more just to get the other cat. What can I say to convince my parents to let me get this cat

I really want a cat but my parents won't let me get one. How to convince them to get me one?

Your parents have to be just as committed to caring for the cat as you. Cats can live as long as 20 years. Who will take care of the cat if your plans change in 8 years and you want to move across the country? Who will pay the vet bills that can run into thousands of dollars? You will obviously have to rely on your parents for these things, so they have to be 100% committed, not just nagged into getting you one.

I have read other questions by minors who say things like "My cat's sick and my mom doesn't wanna pay for her to see the vet. What should I do?" Make sure your parents will really care about the cat. And I hope you still care after in a couple of months (before the school year is over) and the kitten is no longer a kitten, but a full grown cat. They don't stay little like that for very long.

You can always do what I did and wait until you are self-supporting to adopt a cat. I always wanted an animal growing up but my parents wouldn't let me. Now I have 2 animals. You only have to wait another 10 years or so. I hope I'm not talking over your head.
