How To Get Over Fear Of Taking Tests

How to Get Rid of Exam Fear and Test Taking Anxiety?

Focus on the rewards (passing the exam), not the fear. This sense of anxiety before taking a test is only temporary. Once you start with the test, it simply receedes away.

Do this -- Calm your mind for a moment and take 20 deep breaths. Deep breathing helps you focus on what's important and ignore all the rest. It also helps you sort through all the mental noise and gets you in a state that is energized by the sheer belief that you are the best.

Try this during your exam. It works.

How can I overcome the fear of taking tests? Due to this fear, I cheated on several tests and even got caught sometimes.

Thanks for asking Ridima.Fear of examination - every one would haveexperienced this fear in one way or the other along their lives. Mostly this fear is linked to the outcomes, what people will think if the marks are bad and so on. And of course few who want to try lateral methods, adopt to such Shortcuts like cheating.I admit every one cheats in a way or the other, but looking at it from a broader and mature point of view a cheater is primarily cheating himself or herself in the end. As examinations are not a passport to success, but a method to check where we stand. We need to realize that. And once we know where we stand we should be charged up to improve further, as examinations point the scope of improvement. When I hear news like parents who pay to examiners to pick a good kid’s answer sheet and replace with their poor performing kid’s etc, my blood boils. See how deep rooted this evil feeling can get to. Here the kids poor performance has become parent’s prestige in a way. This actually shows how uneducated the parents are.I always wondered “DO WE REALLY NEED TO DERIVE A COMFORTABLE LIVING ON THIS PLANET BY ALL SUCH SHORT CUTS?”. Is it truly worth it? With your question I am sure you are honestly thinking that way as well so only you want to figure out ways to come out this. The MANTRA for any FEAR is simple. “PREPAREDNESS TO FACE”.Now the preparedness is not for success or failure. But to face and face rightly. People who rightly fight the battle and even die on the battle field reach the heaven. Not otherwise. All you can do is - say to yourself. Let me get average marks. So be it or just enough marks to pass the exam. But let me pass it through my very own hardship. This is a completely different feeling and it will gradually elevate your spirit. And possible one day you will even beat people who are first in your group. I wouldn’t be surprised ! So don’t waste time. Work every minute towards preparing for that exam which may be several years ahead … right now !

How to overcome fear of veins, wrists, and needles?

I've always had a fear of needles and veins. Everytime I get a shot or think about veins or look at veins, I feel nauseous and lightheaded. The two times I've gotten an IV I had to get pinned down. Two days ago I got a small tattoo just above my wrist, so its really close to my veins. I was fine getting it, but looking at it or touching it makes me feel like I'm going to pass out because I know there were needles so close to my veins. I've felt sick for two days straight now. I love my tattoo and don't regret it at all, but if anyone has suggestions that might help me handle the situation better, that would be lovely. Thanks!

PLEASE HELP fear of getting blood taken?

Needles drive me crazy and as part of my electroconvulsive therapy, I have to get IV's twice a week and those are at least 5 times worse than blood draws (the needle is bigger and they leave a plastic tube in my vein that sometimes hurts more depending on how its left in). I skipped one of my appointments because of the whole needle procedure aaghhhhhh :/

When you get your blood drawn, close your eyes until the blood is drawn when you're in the room where it's done. And ask them to warn you before you get poked. I found that when I don't SEE any of the action that's happening, it's less painful and it helps me to freak out less during the whole process. And for me, I can handle needles better if I get poked on my inner forearm rather than my hand or wrist.

What happens taking Yaz while pregnant?

hey I'm 16weeks pregnant i continued to take the pill even when i missed my first period because i really thought i wasn't pregnant. i took it for 2 months before i did a test. then the test was positive. i asked my doctor at my last anti natal appointment did it have any effect on my baby. he said no!! he said taking BC pills only stops your egg from been released(or so its ment to LOL!) there are no proven cases to suggest that taking BC effects your unborn child. so relax keep taking it if you think you only might be pregnant. best of luck xoxox
