Can CVS Pharmacy legally make you work an 8 hour shift without giving you a 30 min lunch or two 15 min breaks?
Wow, that's really sad they don't give you a lunch. :( Legal? Do they pay you for 8 hours and you are there for 8 hours? If so, then I would say they could get away with it. As they said they are not union (so you are not paying any dues), and you have no one to fight for your ability to have lunch time. Most lunches are unpaid. If you are there for 8 hours and they pay you for 8 then you really can't do much. Was this outlined before you accepted the job? Look at your paperwork. So, legal - yes, but safetywise, not really. If you work with no breaks and no lunch, this could cause you to make poor decisions that affect your ability to do your job well. Which could be dangerous to their customers. I would take a look at the paperwork you signed when you accepted the position. If it says you have a 30 minute lunch point it out to whomever said you couldn't take one. If it doesn't say anything about breaks and you are only there for the same number of hours you are paid, then I'd say they are going to be able to request that you nibble your lunch between helping customers without actually giving you a full break. As far as the breaks go...They don't have to give the breaks if you are able to leave to use the restroom when ever you have an free moment to do so. The breaks are more in an environment where you absolutely cannot leave to get a drink or go to the restroom or otherwise stretch (like an operator position, where you cannot leave your post or you will miss the phone or an assembly line where your lack of being at your post will affect others, or similar activities.) Boo, to CVS in Michigan if this is how they treat their pharmacy technicians (just wondering what does a technician do anyway? Do they fill the prescriptions?)

Yes it is possible.But after B.pharmacy if you opt for M.pharmacy you can go through GPAT examination to avail scholarship of 12000 per month till completion of m. Pharm .If you qualify GPAT examination you can appear in NIPER exm for colleges.

Not recommended being a high risk career and drugs you deal with are highly illegal and don’t benefit the community but that’s the only way. You can buy over the counter supplements that claim to work or sleep aids that are almost all (all except Unison) made of the active ingredient in Benadryl or you can get a prescription for pharmaceutical solutions. There are now powerful solutions that are not prescription drugs. The closest you could get in some states codeine cough syrup is a controlled substance available without a prescription but that is an opiate and opiates don’t make all people sleepy. Btw, dietary supplements for sleep rarely do anything.

It's not what you know it's who you know...and if you happen to know someone that needs your help in pretty much any type of business you've got a good chance of getting a job...even if it's in a field that you're not so familiar with. I've seen kids working in garages as mechanics, I've seen some "director of operations" of large manufacturing facilities that have no more than a high school education...even V.P. of some large companies that have nothing more than a decent ability to communicate with people. They have no education whatsoever. So you probably could become a pharmacy technician without going to school, you just need to find the right person at the right pharmacy willing to show you a few things...it's not rocket science, read the prescription go pull out the required medication and serve up the right dose. You gotta know which drugs may or may not adversely affect the patient, and which ones the patient shouldn't take if they're already taking something else. Most of what you learn in school is not practical anyway...99% of people learn the most while their on the job, so you could become a very qualified pharmacy tech without any education...
