How To Get Rid Of An Oily Face

How do i get rid of oily face ?

Getting rid of your face is not recommended, no matter how oily it is. The face serves many functions and you should not try to remove it.

How can I get rid of recurrent oily face?

I feel you. Hi, I'm a student studying skin care and that's a very common problem and misconception. Oily skin often equates to dehydrated skin. Your face will produce more sebum or oil to compensate for the dryness. The more you wash your face the more oil your skin will produce to bring it back to equilibrium. It's counterintuitive but what you should try is moisturizing more with a non-oily moisturizer. Also, avoid any drying toners or astringents; try more moisturizing ones if you use them. The more moisture you feed your skin the less oil it will make. Staying hydrated and eating water-rich foods and fruits help too. Also, if you're the nerdy type, you can look into ph-balanced skincare products. Everyone's skin is slightly acidic and your skin will always try to return to that pH. Many skincare products when used alone are either very basic or very acidic throwing your skin’s pH on loopy ride. The science behind many professional three-step cleanser, toner, and moisturizer lines is one that keeps the clients facial pH within the normal range after they are used in order. My sister and I had very oily skin and it took a while for us to find this out! I like to use the ultra repair cream by First Aid Beauty and my sister likes the pH-balanced Paula’s Choice Resist line because she is older and has mature skin. Good luck on finding a compatible moisturizer for you and your skin! I'm still learning in my training courses but I feel that moisturizing is a real game changer for oily skin types and I wish it was universal knowledge. (This is my first quora answer! WohoO.)Here’s a link for more about pH if anyone is interested: Skincare Discovery: Why the pH of Your Cleanser MatterspH of common moisturizers: https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp...Beginner's Korean Skincare Routine: Dehydrated Combination-Oily Skin TypeFYI: If you live in the city, you may have your skin type assessed and get a facial at an esthetics training school for a very cheap price. How to get rid of oily skin?

Put corn starch on your face with a powder brush. I promise it works. Just try it, put it on lightly and you will be oil free for the next few hours (in my experience) It works great, my mom use to use it to get the oil out of her hair when she didn't wanna wash it, works the same on faces!

My face is too oily and acne prone. How should I get rid of oily skin and pimple marks?

If you suffer acne breakout often, the most appropriate and sensible thing to do is to pay doctor a visit. This advice is mostly taken for granted.I don't know how long you have been having acne and what you have already done to get rid of them. But it is sure you have not consulted a dermatologist yet, else you wouldn't be asking this question here. In this knowlegde, I would like to share my story. I suffered from acne from 2011 to 2015. For the first 3-4 years, my Mum tried a lot of things on me. A lot of home remedies. Nothing worked. She took me to several doctors. It didn't help. The town we lived in had no reputed dermatoogist. By mid 2015 I had terrible acne. In Sept 2015, we consulted a certified dermatologist. My acne had gone by the end of October. The medications she provided were arguably very effective. One of the tablets I was prescribed turned out to be a not-so-good-drug. It had a lot of side-effects, one of which was relevant to me. If you live in the US or probably anywhere outside India, you need not to worry about that. Your doctor will take care of everything. But if you happen to be in India, kindly google your prescribed medicine before taking it. Apart from the medication, I was adviced to do the following things which are very reasonable precautions for anybody who seeks to get rid of acne  : Not to eat too much sweet things and for some reason, reduce consumption of dairy products too.ExerciseWash the face at least twice a day. And moisturize it with whatever, I deemed fit, that was not sticky or too oily (ofcourse!). I chose alovera gel (patanjali).Drink a lot of water.Reduce weight. She said I was healthy but needed to reduce weight to quicken the healing proces. I don't buy that. I was fat then, I am fatter now. (I am not proud of that).Use a different soap for face and not use it for anything else.Similarly, have a separate towel for the face. No one else shall use it. Wash it regularly.I was prescribed 2 creams for marks. I still apply them. Getting rid of pimple marks takes a longer period of time than does getting rid of pimples. They are 'Aziderm' and 'Lumacip' cream. I was told to apply them all over the face mixing both of them in equal quantity. My marks have faded to a great extent. I hope you visit a dermatologist soon.

Very oily nose! How do I get rid of the oil?

I put rubbing alcohol on with a cotton ball after I wash my face. I have really oily skin, too, and it seems to help. It actually helps to clear acne, too. Don't use too much, though, because otherwise your skin can get too dried out.
