How To Get Rid Of Excessive Anxiety

How to get rid of anxiety?

Yes! There is help for anxiety, and it's a lot more simple than you might think. I also suffer from anxiety disorder, and use to have 7-8 panic attacks a day. It does sound like that's what is happening to you. The best thing you can do for yourself is to practice slow breathing exercises. It will not only reduce your anxiety, but it will prevent you from having a full blown panic attack. When you feel the anxiety coming on take in a slow deep breath. Hold it for 7-8 seconds. Then slowly exhale. Repeat this until your anxiety subsides. Try it! You will be surprised. You may need to talk with your school counselor about your anxiety, and maybe they can talk with your mom and help her to understand that therapy would be beneficial to you. Usually something causes you to feel anxious all of them time. You start by fearing something, and then it leads to you having panic attacks because you begin to fear an attack. You need to see a therapist so they can help you figure out where the anxiety came from in the first place. If you conquer your fear, you might also be able to conquer your anxiety. I wish you the best!

How do I get rid of chronic anxiety?

To start, generally you don't “get rid” of it. It will always be there, but you can manage it, very successfully I might add. But there is always the possibility of it returning in high stress. For some people, medicine is what works best to get it under control. For others, it's calming techniques (breathing control, meditation, yoga, etc). For others still it's changing the environment (like if your job is what's causing you all the stress). Some people do best with therapy, because their anxiety stems from experiences they haven't been able to work through. It's always best to consult a therapist or psychiatrist, because they're the most knowledgeable and can give you at least an idea of where to start

If I stop excessive masturbation will my anxiety go away. PLZ HELP. I can't even go out anywhere anymore?

This is gonna be long but please read I NEED your help, I'm really scared. This is LIFE for me please. I'd feel like killing myself if I can't fix this.

So I've started excessive masturbation (masturbating more than once a day) at age 10 and now I'm 15 and I just started trying to stop this excessive masturbation. Right now It's been exactly 2 days since the last time I masturbated. I'm trying my best to quit. Those 2 days were very hard for me I was crying.

Every time I go out in the public anywhere, I start to get anxious, insecure and worried about how other people look at me. Here's an example for what it's like for me eating at a restaurant: I come in, say hi to my aunties, uncles, cousins, etc., then I sit down and the first couple of minutes I feel alright I guess, then after like 5 minutes I start to freak out and get anxious, then I see some of my family members, etc look at me weird for a second. Then I start to freak out even more that I feel so insecure I can't even move. Also, whenever I try to pick up and sip my drink, I feel so weird like a robot or something, its hard to explain but it's just torture. My cousins seem to not really talk to me anymore. I feel like they now all see me as If I'm retarded. I even lost my best friend because of this. He didn't say anything about it he just didn't hang out with me anymore.

Even more things that are torturing me:
- cant make eye contact for more than 2 - 3 seconds
- cant walk right
- cant talk to girls cuz I'm so akward
- I feel like everything I do is akward
- feel so depressed
- feel so bipolar
- feel more lazy
- feel like I'm making weird faces while doing something
- cant focus on things
- pretty much hard to talk to anyone except my dad or mom
- I'm starting to become very antisocial
- I feel like I'm going crazy
- I start to let all my anger out by punching the wall (after my knuckles were just bloody)
- Ive been sitting down and crying in the dark everyday.

How do I get rid of my anxiety naturally?

I find a good book on the topic can help.

My reasoning, I get anxious when I don't understand why things are the way they are or when I don't know what will happen when I do __blah__. Probably because anxiety stems from uncertainty in risk taking.

Drugs have different affects on people, but I wouldn't necessary be quick to turn a cold-shoulder on them. I'm not a huge fan of them either, I figure if you can solve something the natural way you become stronger & not dependant on something. BUT your situation sounds somewhat debilitating & possibly seriuos. That being the case drugs "may" be an option if your doctor suggests it.

Remember drugs and alcohol aren't dangerous alone. Drugs, alcohol & STUPID PEOPLE are dangerous. But I have a feeling your not one of them.

Another theory. You probably need a good outlet. I don't know that violent people get anxious much, or at least they find it a way of relieving it. No I'm not suggesting you get angry at someone. But physical activity can help, try the Gym, I found that helps A LOT. Or watch an action film, that helps me loosen up. I don't think we're designed to bottle things up all the time. Anxiety might simply indicate that we're holding on too tight to something.

Good luck
