How does karma act in case of persons who cheat their loved ones?
Yes Karma exist..I got to learn about this in the hardest way..5years back I was in a relationship with this nice girl, after about a year and a half I started feeling as if I am getting bored… so I decided to go for an affair . Yes I was the one who cheated…and she got to know about this ..we had a fight and we decided to break up, but this girl was still in love with me and she kept on calling me…requesting me to talk about this ..she was ready to forgive me and start fresh. Even this kind of an act wasn’t enough for her to hate me..But I was too reluctant to get back…I shouted at her…made her cry..basically all the moronic stuffs…after a year of crying and begging she moved on.Now, just a year ago I got into a relationship with this girl sweet girl. Obviously I approached her. After a year of relationship….one day she decides to break up over a minor episode…I request her to stay..give another chance but she was reluctant to come back…I asked her ..what is the reason?? she said….there is no future for us…Then after 2months i got to know that she is getting married…..And basically I can’t do anything to get her back.The first thing I did was to msg my previous girl friend…..I apologized for being such a jerk to her..now I was able to realize the pain of being rejected..the pain of being ignored. …Her reply was…..’it has been 5yrs , now your sorry doesn’t mean anything to me, but at least you realized’KARMA hits you hard.
What is the real meaning of karma? Is karma actually misunderstood?
Karma simple means gift for your deeds. If you do good deeds you are rewarded well but if you do bad deeds you are punished.Karma is something that follows you until many lifetimes. I good example of karma across lifetimes will be :-A child who is born to a king will eventually be a king. That child will live a lavish life with all riches and comforts. But the child has done nothing to get it. This is the child’s past life karma.Similarly, a child who is born to a pauper will have a life full of struggles, pain and sufferings without any fault of the child. This is also the child’s past life karma.Many people ask, if karma works, why are so many corrupt people successful ? Why does bad things happen to good people.Very beautifully explained!!!!Once a king ordered his 3 ministers to take a bag and go to the forest and fill up the bag with fruits.The 1st minister thought that since the king has ordered for collection of fruits, he must collect the best of the fruits in the bag.The 2n minister thought that since the king is a very busy person, he may not look very thoroughly into the bag what has been collected and hence he collected whatever he could lay his hands. Thus his bag was filled up with a mixture of good and rotten fruits.The 3rd minister thought that the king would see only externally how big the bag is and hence he just filled up the bag with all dried leaves and dust.All the three ministers came back to the court with their respective bags.The King, without even seeing what their bags contained, just ordered that now the three ministers must be sent to separate jails for 3 months, where they will not be provided with any food and they were only allowed to carry the respective bags wherein they had collected the fruits.The 1st minister could spend the three months in the jail by eating the very nice fruits he had collected.The 2nd could survive for some time with the good fruits in the bag and later he developed diseases by eating the rotten fruits he had collected.The 3rd minister had nothing to eat and hence could not survive.Moral of the story: we have to undergo the consequences of our own activities.“You will be suffering your own reactions after your karmas, any single karma you perform, you have to suffer for it. Do you believe in Karma?Yes, I do believe in Karma.What do you do when someone wishes bad karma upon you?Law of Karma is very clear – ‘As you sow, so shall you reap.’If someone wishes bad for you, it is he who will attract bad karma and get its result sooner or later. You are not affected at all.Even when someone inflicts harm on you, he could only be a medium; you get harmed because of your own past karma.There is no point having bad feelings for someone who wishes bad for you. You should always wish good for others.I am reminded of a couplet of a famous Indian saint Kabir Das:जो तोको काँटा बुवै ताहि बोव तू फूल। तोहि फूल को फूल है वाको है तिरसुल॥ कबीरMeaning:If someone sows thorns for you, you sow flowers for himYou will get (reap) flowers, he will get thorns.There are plenty of examples to this effect. In Jain philosophy, Lord Mahavira was inflicted enormous harm, but he kept his cool and forgave all those who inflicted harm. The result: Mahavira attained salvation; they would pay for their karma.Remember:‘How people treat you is their karma; how you react is yours.”
