The best method I have come up with is to use the whitening system, then rinse with whitening mouthwash, then brush as normal with the toothpaste of your choice, then rinse with a fluoride rinse. This actually made my teeth white. All the products listed above will cost you about $25, which is less than a box of whitening strips that don't work. The Plus White system works like a charm. It comes with a mouthpiece, whitening gel, and a pre-whitening rinse to remove tartar for better whitening. It is available at CVS Pharmacy.The whitening mouthwash is to simply supplement the whitening system. The off-brand works just as well as the name brand. Now, for the toothpaste, you can use whitening or an enamel strengthening one. I would recommend one for your enamel since whitening can be very harsh on your teeth. I am 13 and have yellow teeth. I brush after every meal possible and before I go to bed. I don't want to use the expensive stuff. I want the yellow to be gone fast and easy before I get my braces on whcih is in a few months. Because if I get rid of the yellow before I get my braces, when I take my braces off in a few years, my theeth will be perectly white and straight, so I don't have to worry about getting rid of the yellow after my teeth are straight. Whitening tooth past works slowly! You have to remember that. Going through a whole tube of tooth paste will only lighten up your tooth a shade or two in reality. Now its important that you go in and get a check up to make sure that the stains on your teeth are indeed stains! Calculus OR Tar-Tar can build up on teeth if you haven't been in for routine cleanings and look like stain. I use crest whitening strips and they work wonders for me. :) The only thing I don't like about them is that you have to keep your mouth still and try not to talk for 30 mins so that the strips stay in place. But they do have a package that comes with a moldable tray and extra strength whitening gel. But I can put up with the whitening strips. :) So hope this all helps have a nice day!

Do you smoke or drink lots of coffee or tea? These will stain your teeth quickly. Mouthwash or flossing are good for your teeth and gums but will not get rid or the discoloration.If its just a tartar build-up then the dentist can get rid of that. If you have fillings there, any whiting product you use will help the rest of your teeth but not where the fillings are. If you get your teeth professionally whitened and you have fillings, they will have to change the fillings to match your teeth! (fillings don't whiten!)
