How To Get Rid The Message Icon On My Iphone 5 When There Is No New Message

Why is the message counter showing one unread message when there are no unread messages in an Android mobile?

It's a technical glitch. A simple boot will heal☺

Why do I get "You may have new messages" notification on WhatsApp?

Data Saver is new feature in Android 7.We will soon see more and more applications making use of it, behaving such way to save data for user if enabled. It is ment to be a less aggressive approach than Background Data restriction (which you get with Battery Saver mode). With Data Saver on, WhatsApp behaves such that it gets the notification of a new message but it won't automatically download the content of it (being plain text, an image an audio or a video) which normally does by default setting (some content types can be restricted to WiFi in app’s settings). As an analogy, if you are familiar with emails, when you get a new email the header gets downloaded first. That contains only the title, from where you received it, and in some cases a reduced version of the content of the actual email. When you open it, then it will download the full email body, like: the fonts, images, hyperlinks, and the full HTML code.Nowday most email programs will let you chose (if not default already) to download the full email prior to opening them. This is because Data connections got faster and storages larger since the beginning of emails and since the beginning internet itself. For more in detail view of how WhatsApp gets that notification (which ports are being used and/or new protocol) I don't know, but it would be interesting to research.Update: I've noticed WhatsApp implemented this behaviour even on phones without Data Saver support. It happens when internet connection is too weak to get the contents and it automatically steps down to only notify for new messages. The analogy still stands!

Why are there paper clip icons next to my sent text messages?

I know it means there's an attachment, but I never attached anything to any of the texts. No pictures, links, videos, nothing. It's also weird because those texts haven't been replied to yet, I started to think that those messages haven't been delivered yet or something? And it's not just one person.

Why do I have a crescent moon next to the time on my iphone?

That means your iPhone is in "Do Not Disturb" mode which will cause you to not be alerted when you get a notification (such as a phone call, message, Facebook/twitter notification).

To turn this on or off, go to:

Settings < Do Not Disturb < "ON" or "OFF"

You can also edit the times you want "Do Not Disturb" to be on by going to

Settings < Notifications < Do Not Disturb

Hope this helps

I no longer receive notifications for text messages on my iPhone 4. How can I best troubleshoot this?

Thanks for the A2A.If you haven’t done so already, try restarting your iPhone. Also, tap Settings, then tap Notifications and scroll down until you find Messages. Tap it and check your notification settings. Also check to make sure Do Not Disturb is not turned on. (It is really easy to accidentally turn it on in Control Center). You can tell if Do Not Disturb is on if there is a moon at the top of the iPhone screen next to the location, bluetooth, and battery indicators. If none of that works, you could try doing a Factory Restore. That’s about all you can do short of taking it to an Apple Store or buying a new phone. (Hey, it’s an iPhone 4 — maybe its time.)

How do I remove the messages count from the WhatsApp icon?

The problem with the message count for Whatsapp icon or badge might not be an issue with the phone but simply the user must be aware that there are three communication methods on WhatsApp and each one registers a message count. So go into the WhatsApp app and click on the message badge or icon and do the same for the video and phone method and that should clear the message count.

Why does WhatsApp show that you may have a new message but then there isn't any message?

This notification often appears some times by everyone. It is coz of lack data connectivity could be reason. Not very sure on this one, i feel due data connectivity and pending pings wont be delivered to us so WhatsApp send out notification as “ You may have new message”.Why am I seeing "Waiting for this message. This may take a while."?At times, you may see the above message in place of what you were sent from a contact. Due to end-to-end encryption, you may need to wait for someone's message to arrive because their phone needs to come online and properly encrypt the message for you. This can typically occur if you or the person you're chatting with recently reinstalled WhatsApp.content reference: Spear Digital MarketingNote: Image used are for just graphic presentation they might be not relevant to topic.
