How To Get Slim On A Treadmill

Will 30 mins to and hour a day on the treadmill make me slim down? ?

not necessarily, it's nice that you're being active. but there's other factors like eating healthy, sleeping habits, stress that can affect your weight levels. but you're on the right track ! keep going :)

Will walking on a treadmill slim and tone my legs?

Hello elizabeth

1. Hindu Squats

Hindu squats are great for toning and slimming your legs. I know I said above to forget squats, but I meant squats with weights. These are bodyweight squats. What you do is squat up and down really fast. Go for 100 repetitions in under 5 minutes.

This tones and slims your legs big time because your body gets put into an oxygen deficit which basically forces it to suck body fat from you to meet it's immediate energy needs. Thus, your legs tone up and look longer because they are more slim from the loss of leg fat.

I can't give you longer legs, but I can give you the visual illusion of longer legs.

2. Walking on a slight incline

This works your butt as well as your legs... so be glad this exercise "kills 2 birds with 1 stone". Your body is use to normal walking on a flat surface, thus you don't really get any noticeable results from it. But just changing it up slightly and walking on a 10 degree incline (incline a treadmill) can jumpstart your ability to tone and slim your legs... as well as tighten your butt.

I suggest you walk like this for 15-20 minutes a day.

So get the long sexy legs look by doing these 2 exercises regularly.

You won't just get slimmer legs by running on the treadmill, you'll get slimmer all over *.Running, if you've never done it before will build up some muscles initially. If you follow proper form, your calves will get a little bigger at first, along with your quads, hamstrings, and glutes, especially as you start off with medium intensity, shorter distances, with intervals of work and rest to get you used to the activity.Over time, you'll burn off a ton of fat* and build up your cardiovascular system, as well as improve your type I endurance muscles (which don't get huge unless you train them with resistance. In any case, I think you're looking at it the wrong way.You won't look like this: Unless you work like mad pounding the weights, and eat tons of protein. You don't accidentally get ripped. You won't wake up one morning thinking: "Where the hell did all these leg muscles come from?"Doing resistance training in coordination with cardiovascular exercise is the best way to slim down. The muscle you add won't be enough for anyone to confuse you with this guy: But it will help increase your metabolism and live a healthier life.Lifting weights and doing midrange to high intensity cardio helps improve joint mobility and bone density through old age. (in addition to all the other awesome benefits of being in shape, better memory, more energy, improved moods, etc). * provided you eat right. Can a treadmill slim my legs?

I was wondering if a treadmill can helps slim down my legs. I hate my things and there're big and my calves area bit too. I know you cannot spot reduce but can losing overalls eight and running on the treadmill help slim my legs? I use the treadmill for about an hour and 30 minutes, no incline. Is there a specific way of running that i should like how i should be placing my foot or something. I have changed the way I eat. I eat foods that are much healthier ( i use the eat like a queen in morning, commoner at lunch, etc).
Can anyone please give me tips on reducing my thighs and calves. Thanks!

Will running on the treadmill help to slim me down?

Any increase in activity will help you lose weight. I used to be a personal trainer, and I've heard all the myths, but the truth is if you take less calories than you burn off per day, you will lose weight. Plain and simple. You should also add resistance, light weights, to your workout to maintain muscle. You will not bulk up (it is actually VERY difficult to do) and the muscle will help you burn off more fat, as muscle burns calories. The treadmill is a great way to burn calories. When you start don't rush your results, and don't get discouraged. A solid 1-2 lbs a week is great, and if you are consistent, and consistently increase the difficulty of your workouts, you will see a big change. Try not to worry about your weight however. A tone healthy body is much better than a sickly, skinny one.

Edit: I forgot to add the frequency. You can begin with a nice brisk walk of about 30 minutes, and build up to 45. You don't have to do more than that, but once you build up the cardio capacity you can try interval training. That's where you jog for a few minutes, and sprint for maybe 30 seconds. That's a whole other beast though. 3 days a week is fine, but you should try 5.

Cardio workouts are great for conditioning and heart but it is not much effective for weight gain.If you are a beginner then initially you might get some gains by cardio, as you are using some of the muscles to do the cardio workouts(like legs for running, arms for swimming) but for long term, cardio won’t help much in lean muscle gains.I would recommend to do some 10–15 min running and add some free hand workouts like push-ups, pull-ups, free squats. It will help you increase the strength and help to gain some muscles.Cheers!

Will going on the treadmill make me skinny?

You have to combine any exercise with a healthy reduced calorie diet in order to lose weight. Either on it's own, won't have much effect. The treadmill is good, I'm personally a big fan of Pilate's. Try combining the two and swimming.

You need to get your input and output balance correct in order to lose or maintain weight.

Start off with 30 minutes a day at the gym, then try and increase it to 60-90 minutes. The exercise must be vigorous. Try and go at least 5 times a week.

How Long Should I Run On The Treadmill For To Lose Belly Fat?

It is not possible to spot reduce fat in just one part of your body, like your belly. In order to lose belly fat you will need to lose the fat all over your body.

In short you may need to start:

1) Eating healthier, this means:

Eat smaller meals
Eat more meals a day
Don’t starve yourself
Eat more vegetables and fruit
Drinks more water
Less sugars and empty calories (less soft drinks, cakes, cookies)
Switch to whole wheat versions of your bread and pasta, brown rice instead of white rice

2) Exercising:

Forget crunches, crunches work your ab muscles but they dont burn enough calories to lose belly fat, if you do hundreds of crunches daily you will have great abs but you wont see them under your belly fat.
Prefer full body exercises they burn the most calories and increase you metabolism for a few hours after your workout.
Get a training partner or a fitness trainer, a very worthwhile investment - of the money you save on junk food for example =)

Try also to reduce stress and get enough sleep. Both of these are related to weight gain and emotional eating.
