How To Get Through Two Weeks Straight Of Work

Can you work 120 hours per week straight for 2 years?

No, not if it is "mind work". At 120 hours per week, your short-term memory may be challenged, causing you to make lots of mistakes. Those mistakes will have to be fixed and will be demoralizing. Your low morale will affect your productivity, even when you are not making mistakes. Your ability to maintain focus will be challenged. My experience: when I was young (mid-20's), very fit (<1:30 half-marathon), and loved my project at work, I went 7 straight months working 90+ hours per week. Weekly hours were: 75/90/110/120. I got the project done, but my productivity per hour was poor.At 120 hours per week, you have less than 8 hours per day for sleep AND all other waking activities.  Realistically, even if your only other waking activities are (1) shower/breakfast, (2) dinner, (3) 'coming down' from the days' work, you may only get 4-5 hours sleep per night. It may not be particularly restful sleep, because you will be feeling the pressure to fall asleep.______________________My experience from 25+ years of professional work life in some very high intensity, successful technology companies:50-hour, 5-day workweeks are sustainable, week-in and week-out by just about everybody80-hour, 6-7-day workweeks are sustainable if you love the work or are otherwise motivated

How to get straight a's in about two weeks?

Cut yourself a little slack

There is NO way that you are going to instantly raise your
grades without going to each and every one of your instructors
and learning what to kiss and when, and doing so VERY quickly.

practical matter ... NOT HAPPENING!

Get over it! You are either going to earn a scholarship ... or not.
bottom line ... BE HAPPY in life, do NOT waste time jumping through
hoops for the establishment ... do what makes you happy!

LIVE your life, don't turn it over to the system.

Is there a job in this world where I can work for 2 weeks and then take 2 weeks off?

There are a number of jobs that allow for a combination of long shifts followed by maybe a week or more off. So police in many countries often pull 10 to 12 hour shifts and then can accumulate their time off. There are also workers in remote areas doing FIFO (Fly in fly out). Oil rigs is an example, but there is also a lot of work in mines in some countries. These jobs don't have to be mining jobs, obviously they need chefs as well. But all these jobs are hard to get and pretty brutal on your life. Often they are 6 weeks on and 2 weeks off and the time on includes long hours. The only other alternative is working for yourself. But if you are not earning the cash, you are not getting much time off.

How to get through two weeks of works with no days off?

I have had to work over a month straight with no days off several times at my job.(55-60 hours a week) Basically the only thing you can do is rest when you get off work. You don't really have alot of time to do much else besides eat dinner and sleep unless you want to be tired at work the next day. I just thought about the money and how nice my paycheck would look on Friday. Then I would treat myself with something nice for working so hard.

How does working 10 days straight affect one's health?

First of all, it depends on your personality. In my case it affects the quality of my sleep. I became overexcited and day after day my nervous system collapses. In those moments I really need to take a break. But 10 days is a short period after all. It happens after 1 or 2 months of hard work (night and day).In my mother's case instead, her nervous system collapses after a day.In my boyfriend's case, his nervous system collapses if he doesn’t work hard.It depends on how you approach your work and how much it makes you happy. If you like your work, even if sometimes it can become stressful, you are incentivized to go on with strength and satisfaction. If you hate your work, it feels like when you hate your wife, the more you’ll stay with her, the more you’ll became stressed and, as a consequence, unhealthy.I end up with a few of articles from the web.genetic -> response at the stresshttp://www.nature.com/npp/journa...
