How To Get Tickets To Believe Movie 3d

Can you use a costco movie ticket for a 3D movie?

Often the rules are printed on the ticket. I remember reading on mine that there may be an extra charge for 3D films. Three bucks maybe.

Why are movie tickets vary so much in the same theather?

I don’t know about theaters in MA, but I go to a lot of movies in AZ, so I’ll talk about that.First off there are different prices for different “ticket types”Adult $10Student $7.50Child $6Senior $6.50and so onThen there are matinee specials (typically shows starting after 3pm and before 5pm), basically trying to get butts in seats for the least popular times of the day. I normally see prices like this:Matinee: $6 (all ticket types)Then there are “special” format extras. For instance a 3D movie the prices would be something likeAdult $15Student $12.50Child $11Senior $11.50Then there are “special theater” extras, like IMAX. So a movie showing on the IMAX screen would be prices like the 3D prices.Then there are the “3D IMAX” and those would be something like:Adult $17Student $15Child $14Senior $14.50So … given all those different prices, your question is “Why?” The answer is that people seem to value things like 3D more than 2D, IMAX more than standard, and 3D IMAX as the best. The prices reflect that perceived added value of the movie. Typically only the hottest newest movies get those special prices. I believe the idea is that the uber fans will pay extra to see the next Star Wars in 3D IMAX at a higher price opening weekend, than will the casual viewer 6 weeks later who watches it on standard 2D during the matinee with the kids.

What does 3D AD WKND EVE mean when purchasing movie tickets?

3d = 3-d movie

ad = adult ticket

wknd = movie on weekend

eve = evening movie

so you are going to go to a 3-d movie in the evening on the weekend and you are buying an adult ticket!

Can I change my movie time if I bought a ticket with fandango?

Yes I think so, but not online- you have to go to the ticket counter. So be careful if you want to change it to a later time. If you get there after the show you reserved is already started (or over), you may be out of luck.

Do you believe that the use of 3D animation has grown in feature films over the last few years?

Yes definatly, Its something that really started to rise after the feature film Avatar. I dont believe the trend will last. Maybe it will but i see it like it is just another thing they want to make money on. Like when they come out with new vacuum cleaners or new razors for shaving..its like yeah there all the same thing but they want to get into your psychie and make you believe your getting something so much better when it is very similar. 3d wont go anywhere once we have a full virtual reality technology. Which wont be too long considering the way our technology is expanded. For example, TV box's were 2 feet thick in the early 90's, 20 years later we have tv's that dont even measure an inch in thickness!! i love technology!

AMC gold and silver Ticket IMAX charge?

I believe it says on your ticket in the fine print on the back.

I know for sure regal tickets have it, and I think AMC have it too.

What is it like to go to the movies alone?

After watching several movies all alone —The good things:You will get ticket almost any time you want:This is one of the major reason why I go movie alone. On a weekend, feeling bored? Open a ticket booking app. Select any movie, any multiplex, any showtime. Chances are high that you will get a seat for one at a decent position.Reason ?1) People are getting “clever” these days and booking tickets leaving one seat towards aisle area expecting that seat will go unsold because chances are rare that someone will come to watch a movie alone and they will get some “space” around them.2) Many theaters have rows containing odd number (most of the time 5) of seats. So normally, two couples and one seat goes unoccupied.You are your own boss:You want to watch a movie - just go for it. ZERO drama regarding choice of place, time and movie among friends. You prefer nachos to popcorn, or you feel like not having anything — you are the one to decide, again, no drama.No disturbance:If it’s a movie where lot of concentration is required, go solo. You will enjoy the movie most.The bad things:If it’s a movie to be watched with friends, better go with friends. I went to watch Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani all alone and regretted the decision sitting in the movie theater itself. I missed college friends there and wished badly that i should have come in a large group.If the movie is a comedy movie, it’s a bit awkward to laugh loud all alone. I mean there is no “crime” in it but once it happened with me. The uncle beside me was giving a look like he is sitting beside someone mad. :PP.S:Going to a movie alone for the first time was tough. Just like stage fright, I felt like everybody is looking at me and judging me as a “loser” who can’t even find a friend to come with him for a movie. [Fact: None gives a damn about who is coming with whom]. Gradually, things became easier. And now, just for the first reason mentioned above, I go almost all movies alone — reach a bit early — buy nachos and coke — sit comfortably and ENJOY !!!Just like the ad “pepsi thi, pee gya” — it’s like “ek seat mili, dekh liya” :D

Stealing 3D Glasses From Movies?

The extra cost does not pay for the glasses, the theater must turn that money over to the movie studio to pay for the extra cost of making the movie in 3d. The theater must simply pay for the glasses themselves, out of the money they get from the original cost of all movies before the 3d extra charge. There is a link to a news article that mentions this in one paragraph.

Oh well, never mind the article is not online anymore. It was called Action Line: 3d glasses mystery solved. Believe me the extra cost is not for the glasses, they are the property of the theater.
