How To Get To Northstar Mall By Bus

If you visited Columbus, Ohio for one day, what would you do?

Simple:  Down Town -- esp. the two nearby districts:  Short North Arts District and German VillageI gotta tell you.  I'm passionate about Cleveland -- it's my home town.  But C-Bus is lovely.  It's a gem in the American Midwest that is just too much of a secret.  It's like a little boom-town right here in Ohio.  It's alive and it's a great place to visit (especially if you're a young person).  I'm not gloating; Columbus is not my home town.  But it's lovely.  It -- as medium/large cities go -- is very clean; it's downtown-metro corridor is safe and modern.  Some of near suburbs can get dicey, but if you're in Columbus, you should really get to the Short North.  Columbus has great restaurants and good hostelry.  I disagree with my esteemed colleague, Nick Nguyen, abut Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams.  I think it's over-priced.  But anything you find in Downtown Columbus and nearby Short North, German Village and Victorian Village will be fun.

Good places 15 year old girls can hang out?

Well you can hang out at the park, mall, friends houses, pool, if theirs an amusement park near you, you all can go to that together.

Best wishes. hope this helped!

Does Killington, Okemo or Stratton have the least crowds?

Stratton is a longer haul from Rutland than Okemo or Big-K. From the intersection by the mall in Rutland you can make either Okemo or Killington is 30 minutes. Stratton will take you more than an hour to get to from the same starting point.

On busy weekends all three resorts will have almost all of their lifts going. Here's what to expect:

At Killington: Long lines at the Gondola stations, the Snowshed base, the two lifts close to the Bear Mountain base, and the Superstar Quad. The Snowdon lifts will be intermittently busy depending on the ski school. The upper lifts will have shorter lines and will move much quicker than those at the bases. The exception being the Canyon Quad which is hard to gauge. If you want to stick to taking shorter runs and using the upper lifts you shouldn't have to wait exceptionally long.

At Okemo: The lift at the main base and the Jackson Gore lifts will most likely have longer lines. Likewise, the entire area around the main base area will be crowded since the first lift out of the main base dumps everyone on to this section. You then ski down to the other lifts. The Northstar will be more crowded than the Sachem Quad but there are some mid-mountain lifts that serve only the upper half and these tend to be not so crowded.

At Stratton: Expect long lines at the Gondola and American Express since these are the two lifts right out of the lodge. Then there will also be traffic at the Ursa Express. Sunrise and Shooting will also have some lines, but no where near as bad as the lifts in the main area. The good news is Stratton has a lot of 6 passenger lifts and even on busy days they move pretty quickly.

I've skied all of them on busy holiday weekends. Personally, I'd go to Burke or Jay on a busy weekend if I had to ski in VT and wanted to avoid the lines since those two resorts are the furthest away from the major east coast cities, but considering your situation, I'd choose Killington simply because there are enough mid-mountain lifts to break up the congestion of those at the bases.
