I work out and I'm slim and toned but why don't I have a thigh gap?

I'm in my 20's not a teen. I'm always the fist to tell girls not to let certain body "ideals" to get to them especy the butt issues. So today as I was checking out my body to see my progress something popped in my head, Do I have a thigh gap... I don't, I'm 5"5 ish my weight fluctuates between 117lbs and 120 lbs I'm toned and thin, so why don't I have a thigh Gap?? I have a well proportioned body (not curvy, I have the natural skinny girl body) is it because of how I do my workouts? I know I don't have anymore weight to loose.
