Ice first! Before heat. Remember R.I.C.E. Rest, Ice, Compression, and Elevation. Ice or cold compresses will help reduce swelling and thereby pain. Also minimize movement. You should see a doctor. Hope you are better soon. Prayers.

Best way to treat lower back ache fast?

Depending on how badly youve torn your muscle from your hip bone . if severe you may need rehab with a physiotherapist. if doctor says no need for rehab streching helps. doing nothing about it causes your muscles to 'freeze' and in a long run limit range of motion.

Strech your Glutes( Butt muscle ) , Hamstrings (back thigh) and calf. Strech Slowly ,always remember to keep breathing , push the strech a little every once in a while. You can look up streching exercises on the net if u dont know any . Hope it works for you!

Knee pain/problem/injury?

I was at my soccer game today & I went in for a tackle, & the guy stuck his other leg out causing my knee to hit his thigh & hyper extend, it was painfull but tollerable, so I continued playing untill half time then I told my coach to sub me out. When I hurt it I felt a sharp pain in the back side of my knee & now I get a throbbing pain while it feels swollen inside it but it's not visible, atleast to me it isn't. It also hurts when I try to lay my leg flat. I can walk, but the back of my knee feels really uncomfortable when I do, not necessarily painfull, I also sometimes hear popping (not bones cracking) & feel popping in my knee while walking.
Btw, I've been getting a pain in the back of the same knee (left) while I play for a few weeks, not all the time though. Now it's starting to worry me since it got pretty bad this time & your knee is the last place you want to injure if you're a soccer player. What could this be?

How do I maintain muscle mass while injured?

The main thing to consider here is your nutrition. How can I recover from low back pain?

Thanks for A2A,I'll just share my experience to reasonably answer your question.I was suffering from low back pain since 1.5 year and yet full recovery is still to be retained. I have tried everything which includes physio, acupuncture,yoga,swimming,allopathy,Chiropractic etc. Back is too sensitive and Complex its like happened many times with me that I was just feeling that I am recovering myself again the one day sudden pain starts. Just start taking care of your health first which actually i used to ignore at earlier.1)If your job involves prolonged sitting avoid it or else take break of at least five minutes at an interval of max 30 minutes.(I am computer engineer by profession added task scheduler on my pc which shows me alert at every 30 minutes to stand up and take rest)2)start watching motivational video and start reading the articles that stuff you can do by taking rest in your bed.3)You must follow certain rules  in your life if you are facing back problem is that you must keep the way of sleeping ,must avoids prolonged sitting and prolonged standing the best way for our back is to have rest , do not lift heavy load etc.4)lumbar is very critical region of back it take time. You must start any of the following activities on basis of taking recommendation of your doctor. i)Massage with specified relief oil but this may not be permanent solution ii)Daily exercise as per recommended by your physiotherapist and avoids early morning exercise immediately after you get up from your bed because when you awake your body has some muscles of back do not have normal fluidity of blood so what I suggest you to generate endorphin by morning walk and then doo exercise please please dont do any exercise by just watching you tube videos. Dont exaggerate exercise.iii)Be patient dont be angry man.iv)consult best yoga practitioner or professional one explore your problem and start yoga practices .v)Use lumber belt if doctor is prescribing but dont overuse it.vi)Bend on your knees instead of back.Hope you get well soon.
