How do you get people to read your blog?
I started a blog and put a counter at the bottom to register how many hits it's getting. I also keep track of how many times I go there. Basically the results show that I'm the only one reading my blog LOL. How do you go about "advertising" your blog or getting anyone to see it or even know that it exists? Thanks! :)
How to read other peoples blogs ?
I am a user at WordPress as well and have learned a fair amount about finding other blogs of interest - not just popular ones. From the WordPress homepage you can use the top right search bar to find other blogs that interest you. The search is not limited to popular or unpopular blogs - it's limited to your search query. For example, try searching for "writing:" http://en.search.wordpress.com/?q=writing This will give you a plethora of blog's to choose from - some maybe as new as yours. You, and bloggers like you, can also increase your popularity by tagging. Add only relative terms - yet popular enough to be fair game on search engines. Comment FREQUENTLY on WordPress.com & DailyPost.com, "liking" their posts. This may give you a dramatic increase in views as well. My point in this is to convey the fact that many blogs follow these guidelines and grow very quickly. Therefore, fewer "brand-new" blogs may be found. They're out there though, just look around! (I personally just picked up blogging mid-way through last year, though I started my blog a long time ago.)

Put these adjectives in your headline and post.At the end of the post, ask people to share and tell them why they should. GENERAL BLOG ADVICE:Add keywords in the keywords section if possible.Some people say to announce your product releases well ahead of time.Give news announcements, even about trivial things, but limit it to 1 to 7 trivial posts per week.Try to make sure some of your posts aren't trivial. For example, you might find relevance by writing about Hilary and Trump, economics, national defense, your understanding about well-known disciplines such as psychology and philosophy, etc. This might also apply to the types of books you review.Or, conversely, you might try to be the only page that has written about the symbolism of zebras, or that apocalyptic feeling you get when such-and-such happens. Try to add interest whether it's mainstream, obscure, or in between. This often involves three things: being interesting (For obscurity) being philosophical (for connecting the obscure with the general) and having authority (For mainstream issues).Posting A LOT is also important, but it has to be high-quality to attract interest.After awhile, try to interest those who actually visit, if they tend to click on only one particular post, or if they have complained in your comments section.If you're trying to sell a product, make sure the product is well-represented.
