I just got a Samsung Galaxy S4, after owning iPhones for a long time. I copied over my music by going to computer > libraries > music > itunes > copy all...Then pasted it in the appropriate folder on my new phone. It recommended I convert the files so they'd play properly on my phone, so I did. Only half of the music copied, for some reason, though. And it won't copy over some of my favorites, like Lady Antebellum. Also...How do I purchase and store music on this phone? Is the Google Play Store & "Play Music" app the only way? Because the play music app requires internet to stream the music(so that it doesn't cost me data), and my internet here sucks really bad, it can't even stream a single song without having to stop and load multiple times. What do I do? Is there a way to purchase and store music directly on the phone so that I can listen to it without having to use data or internet?

Coding such an application with bang on sync among all the different types of devices is a tedious and interesting problem. I guess you might be using a Wifi hotspot or something for syncing among all the devices? If there is a service stream there will be lag sometimes.A better implementation may be to have a central server where all the devices can connect themselves and songs are played at predefined timestamps. But that again seems easier said than done.
