How To Hide Cuts At School

How to hide cuts on your arm at school?

Wear lots of bracelets, though I'm guessing you're not allowed to do that in PE? Ask your parent/carer to write a note explaining why you should wear long sleeves, but if your parents don't know, try and forge it. You don't have to say they're self harm scars, just scars.

Side note: stay strong, please. I know it may seem like there's no hope, but there is. There are people that care about you and don't want to see you get hurt or hurt yourself, so please try and distract yourself with other things if you feel like self harming (I've been there, music or youtube always helps me). Also, don't be ashamed of your scars. If you stop self harming, those scars can remind you that you were strong enough to overcome your issues. Be proud of who you are, not what's on your body.<3

How do I hide cuts?

I am so so sorry to write this so bluntly, but you can not really hide it for very long. Some people here have already told you to cut in less obvious places and to a degree ( although I got angry with them) , they are right. As someone having your affliction, illness, addiction since a very long time I KNOW : You only cut in obvious places if you are longing for help. I disagree completely with those who say you do this for a kick or “ hormones” , I know that you don't. The fact that you cut in places that could be visible to others means that you are ready for a dialogue about your inner horror. Otherwise you would cut in places no one could see. So , while I know you might be telling yourself you do not want to reveal your pain, please notice that you are cutting in places that others might actually see. That is a first small step. Please stay in touch.I am here if you need me further. Stina

How to hide cutting scars at school?

Well, I stopped cutting about 3 or 4 weeks ago, but the scars are still there. I think you should wear some sort of a wristband, something like this if you have a lot to cover up, get a longer one: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=h...

I didnt have a wristband at the time, so i got a pair of my leggings, and cut it up to look like an an arm sleeve. it covered up my scars pretty well, it looks like this except a bit shorter:

I suggest you get a wristband or arm sleeve...

How to hide cuts on your wrists?

-Wear a hoodie
-Wear long sleeves
-Wear a sh*tload of bracelets
-Concealer/makeup? Never tried it, but i've heard of people doing this.
And perhaps, in the future, if you can't resist the urge, try not to cut someplace as easily visible? Inner thighs, for example.
I'm not gonna tell you OMGZ STOP, because I know it's not that easy, but as a cutter I can tell you, my entire arm and thighs are now scarred so deep it looks surgical in some places. :/ It's not a good road to go down.
Good luck. xx

How do I hide new self-harm cuts at school, and especially the gym?

You tell me.Do you want to hide them or do you want people to see them?Real Self harm comes in many forms. The kind that is genuinely impulsive and even involuntary would be (for example) biting a finger nail until you bleed or using a cigarette lighter to burn your own skin deliberately. To actually go and fetch a sharp blade from somewhere and decide to slice your skin is actually a premeditated and deliberate act. If you need the rush from cutting, a piece of ice is almost as satisfying and doesn’t leave slice marks. Some people slice sensitive areas that are already more well hidden with papercuts rather than a blade, but this takes practice to deliberately get a paper cut.Answering your question, a good foundation and maybe a well placed band aid can do a lot. A long sleeved leotard works for girls, a neoprene or lycra full sleeve body suit for boys. With fingernails, clear nail polish can help. Fake acrylic nails are to be advised against as they have to be glued onto a healthy nail.Burn marks from lighters tend to look bad and hard to cover. But most self harm is symptomatic of severe mental health challenges and is actually a cry for help. Most cutters especially want people to actually notice or they would not do it in the first place.

How to hide self harm cuts in P.E?

Dont worry Im not going to give you lectures and shizz like that cuz I have exactly the same problem and Im fed up of getting lectures as well -.- Basically, I tried to wear a long sleeved top under my PE top but I got told I wasnt allowed to wear it so I had to go that lesson with nothing to cover the scars on my arms and one of my friends noticed which I didnt really want but she cuts too so its not so bad, she didnt judge me or anything, still I wouldnt reccomend not covering them though unless you can deal with questions (like if you have excuses for the cuts), I spent the whole lesson trying to cross my arms, was really difficult trying to hide :L Luckily at my school we dont have to wear shorts, so I dont have the problem of trying to hide cuts on my legs, which is where most of my cuts are. Basically, i'd wear a bandage or something to try and cover the cuts or wear loads of bracelets on your arm I do that and it sometimes covers it, also maybe using makeup to cover it, ive done that but I wouldnt reccomend it on its own because I found the cuts still show quite a bit so if you do do that, maybe wear bracelets too? Thats all I can suggest really, good luck :)
Also, can people stop saying stop cutting, thats not gonna help -.-
