Xbox 360 controller on win 7 pc help?
Connected the controller and it installed the drivers. Opened up a classic old game I wanted to play GTA vice city and the B button is acting as the A button and the Y button is the B button. Right and Left triggers dont work. Not sure about anything else because I was just getting frustrated. I already had xpadder from an old friends controller, so tried that and didnt do anything. Tried uninstalling and manually installing the drivers and still dont work right. Someone suggested joy2key but not sure how to go about that. No i cant test on any new games cause the newest game i can get on this pc is gta san andreas or the sims 2

theres a free program called xpadder , type xpadder in to youtube and there will be a vid tellin u how to hook that up , then after you have done that go in to the emulator and configure the layout to how u want it :) but be sure ur controller is wired and not wireless as wireless controllers are not compatable with pc
How can I play my MAME games WITH a xbox 360 controller?
If your TAB button no longer allows you to bring up the User Interface screen, try this: Go into My Computer, look for your MAME directory, double click the MAME folder, then double click the Mame32 folder, then look for the cfg folder. In the cfg folder, delete the folder called default.cfg (you can drag it to your desktop if you feel more comfortable). Next start MAME, go to Options, select Default Game Options, select Controllers and make sure Enable Joystick Input has a check mark, also to the right check to see if Default Input Layout is set to STANDARD. Start a game that you know works, during the game press the Tab button and that should call up The Input Menu. Select Input General and scroll down to where it says UI Up, UI Down, UI Left, UI Right. Go to UI Up and press ENTER. Now, press UP on the left analog stick of your Xbox 360 controller; you should see the selection change. I tried using the d-pad but it didn't work, so go with the analog stick. Press up on your Xbox 360 controller with the analog stick and it should work. Next go to UI Down and press ENTER and then press down on the left analog stick. You might notice the arrow keys no longer work to move down in the menu, so you'll have to switch to using the analog stick to move up and down the menu. Do these changes for the left and right directions (just as you did for up and down). Then go to the very bottom of the menu to select to get out of this screen. Try the game and it should be fine. If you do mess something up (like I did, by accidentally pressing a mystery button while on the Input Menu which once again altered my TAB button so it wouldn't work properly) you might have to delete the default.cfg folder all over again and start from scratch. FYI I'm using an older MAME version Mame32 0.86. I hope this helps!

The Xbox controllers are not compatible with the 360. There is no way to connect them.

Easy :After turning on your xbox ...press the small black square button besides usb plugs under the power button .. which will flash circled green lambs (representing searching for your controller)Then in ur controller after pressing the silver button to turn it on , there is a small button on tge top beside the battery back / or the charging plug , press it to sync with the xbox Note : you can reverse this procedures Hope it helps :)
