How To Keep Natural Hair Curly/wavy And Voluminous Overnight

Is there a way to get voluminous hair overnight?

When I sleep at night I put my hair in a bun at the top of my head that way when I wake up and take it down there's texture and waves, it's got some volume. There's lot of volumnzing shampoos and conditioners as well as gels. I don't know how long it will stay, but if I bend like I'm about to touch my toes, and let my hair flip and dangle towards the ground, I brush my hair like that back of the neck/scalp to the ends of my hair and then flip back to standing my hair gets huge and poofy!

Does putting your hair in a bun make it curly overnight?

If you want it really curly, just wet it and braid it, although that can sometimes just make it wavy. One way would be to take small sections, and two strand twist the like a regular twist. Then take those twists, and twist them in their own separate, tiny buns. Do it tightly. This is a sure way to get curly hair.

How to make natural looking heatless curls/waves?

hmmm try washing your hair, waiting till it is damp, not soaking wet, and then use hair gel and scrunch it. Don't put the hair gel all over though, just put it on the ends so they hold the curl. Then let it air dry. This works for my but my hair is sort of wavy naturally. You could also try rolling the damp hair with smaller rollers. Another thing I've hear of is putting a headband around your head, going across your forehead, and rapping pieces around it while they are damp. Hope this helps!

How to make straight hair wavy?

You could braid your hair when its damp, and sleep in it.

How do I make straight hair wavy for men?

The same way you make it wavy for women! (I'm a woman, and I have the same haircut as you!).There's a lot of different ways:  To do it quickly, I use a small flat iron, half an inch wide, on dry hair (using it on wet hair will damage the hair.) I take a small section, clamp the hair between the paddles and pull it through in an alternating curving motion, curving in one direction and then the other. The tighter the curve, the tighter the resulting curl. Experiment with sectioning and direction to get the style you want.If I don't want to use the flat iron, I can use a blow dryer and a small round brush. I take sections small section, blowing hot air on the hair on top of the barrel of the round brush. This gives it a slight curve. If I have time, I wash my hair, towel it dry, put in some setting cream and put my hair in rollers. They're really easy to use. I usually sleep in it overnight, but you can use a hair dryer to shorten the drying time if you're in a hurry. If you want tight curls you can just leave them be after taking the rollers out, but if you want waves just brush through the curls until they loosen up.For any of these methods, to make sure the wave or curl stays, use a spritz of hairspray or spray wax.

What's a good affordable mousse that volumizes straight hair or at least makes it wavy?

John Frieda Frizz Ease all the way!! If you want to try a curly hair routine to try and get your curls back, I'm just gonna include mine in case. (:

There are so many youtube gurus that can help you figure out how to style your hair. Sunkissabla is one of my favorites. (:

I shower at night, and I do my hair right after.

1.) Shower like regular. Condition and put your hair in a clip or just leave in down while you wash your body or do whatever other shower things you need to do.
2.) Rinse out the conditioner with colder water to make your hair shine.
3.) Get out of the shower.

I start off with a leave in conditioner. I'd reccomend Garnier's Sleek and shine ($3!!!) which can be found at pretty much every drugstore, and got a lot of hype. If you want a better quality detangler for thicker hair, I recommend Kinky Curly's Knot Today, which is like $12 at your local drugstore. Then, add a mousse for volume. Use something light so you won't weigh your hair down. I use John Frieda's Frizz Ease mousse. I got it for $8 on Amazon I think. It's also at Target and probably Walmart or CVS too! Scrunch up your roots with the mousse to add volume. Lastly, you could add an oil on your ends to make it bounce. You could diffuse if the mousse doesn't help with volume, but I just air dry and go to sleep. I usually wake up with awesome voluminous hair, that gets tons of compliments. If any of your curls got all dysfunctional while you slept, you could take a curl cream (I use Loreal Paris Curve it Curl Cream) and just wind it around your finger and let it go. I hope this works for you!!

I hope I helped!
