How To Keep Your Team From Going Adrift

Ending of the movie "Open Water 2: Adrift"....... Confusing?

Amy drowned while trying to save Dan which is why the fisherman didnt see anyone on board other than a crying baby.

The scene where Amy is back on board is actually her ghost/spirit not realizing she had drowned. She finally realizes this when she sees Dan's lifeless body positioned like her father who she also failed to save. She shuts her eyes in agony when she realizes her decision to jump back in the ocean has doomed her baby.

The director has said that all 6 died.

Does it make sense to hire a team of actors to do some role playing, along an Alzheimer's patient fantasies?

No-  it makes no sense at all.  Especially since, these are not fantasies, these are memories, even if the memories are a bit mixed up.The person is adrift in time, and usually mixing up memories;  no actor is good enough to keep up with all the changes- by the time the actor is getting into Auntie Jen's character, the person is remembering going fishing at the beach.Look, all you have to do to assist someone to reminisce (it actually has a name-  reminisce) is bring up the subject, then let them go along with it.  For instance:"This is such good pie-  what's your favorite kind of pie?""Do you like to bake?""What's your favorite thing to bake?""Where did you eat the best pie you ever had?""Did you help your Mom bake?""Was she a good cook?""What was your favorite thing your Mom made?"All you have to do it get them going, then keep them going as they get a bit lost in the memories.  You're like the "You Are Here" sign on a map-  you just keep pulling them back to a memory they can follow.  You do not challenge the memories, you do not correct the memories, you just follow along, and keep them on a path leading to more and more memories. I absolutely cannot imagine what you are proposing doing any good, at all.

What are the benefits of shifting a career from QA into release management?

I’ve worked with a QA team and Engineering team that managed application release. The QA seemed to be more customer facing and field deployed. They were using the catered application installs to live test with the users. The release management crew were working behind the scenes. They created the application packages, made the needed changes and published the final products. They also managed the updating of those packages. The some benefits of moving into release management could be more control of the applications and more backend efforts. Additionally, I could see how QA team would be subject to the release management efforts.

I leave for bootcamp next month for the marines and had a couple questions?

The first part of your question was answered.

I know the Dirty Name, the Run Jump & Swing, the Monkey Bridge, and the Slide For life are all names for obstacles on the confidence course.

The Dirty Name is a series of logs on posts, each higher than the last. Its a ball buster!

The Run Jump & Swing is self-explanatory. You run, grab a rope, and swing across to the other side.

The Inclined Wall is just that, it is a solid wall you have to climb.

The Monkey bridge is two ropes. You hold on to one and walk on the other.

The Reverse Climb has a tilt to it making you climb a strucutre tiled back toward you. You are climbing the underside.

The Arm Stretcher is just some monkey bars.

I think the skyscraper has been known as the Skyway to heaven. We just called it the A Frame. It's a tall structure you climb.

The slide for life is a rope over water. You lie on top of the rope and slide down it. It is at a small downward angle. You're supposed to stay on top of the rope. You slide down it head first.

What is the best way to rid the tradition of having the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys play on Thanksgiving?

It will never happen, why would you want to change it anyway. Thanksgiving is the best American holiday because you get a turkey dinner and a Dallas Cowboys game every year. There is literally no better gift the NFL could give the American people than that. Be grateful you are even allowed to watch that game every year as it sounds like your U.S. citizenship should be revoked and you should be set adrift on a raft in the North Atlantic just for posing such an asinine questio.

Which Six Nations Rugby team is the best?

England followed by Ireland then Wales (who have had the best defence but little else). Scotland is a bit adrift but are improving,. France needs to sort out its domestic game because unless they do the national side is going nowhere. Italy, less them, are outgunned. They have a truly world class player in the shape of Parisse but desperately need more regular high class competition to improve - a second tier 3/4 nations comprising Georgia, USA, Canada & Spain perhaps? Another international group comprising the Pacific Nations, Japan & HK too?

When we can expect AC Milan and Inter Milan rise back up to the top European football?

Let's talk about Inter Milan first:Well, I think that Inter Milan is going to be at their top of the game from next season onwards. I say this because under their new manager Luciano Spaletti, they have been in a great form and they sit third in the Serie A with only 1 point adrift of Juventus(who is at second place). I think that in January or in the next summer transfer window, Inter will make necessary signings which will make their team very strong and they have a great manager in Luciano Spaletti so expect them to be one of the European Elite from next season. Now, let's talk about AC Milan:AC Milan brought mnay new players into thier team and were expected to have a great season but things have not been great so far as they sit on 7th position in the Serie A and are showing no signs of promise and I think this is mainly because of their current manager Vincenzo Montella, who has been poorly managing the team. The team consists of great talent but unless they don't replace Montella with a world class manager, I do not see them rising to the top.

Why do I feel enlightened after recognizing that I am an atheist?

Knowledge or Realization is always enlightening. So its very natural for you to feel enlightened when you let go off ignorance or false beliefs. But you must understand this, that you feel enlightened not because you became atheist, its because now you are able to see the hollowness in the concept of God which you had or people had and now you feel annoyed when people are not able to see that which became very obvious to you. You have not rejected the existence of God yet, you have only rejected the concepts which you have heard of till now. Or you have only rejected a certain definitions of God. So, atheism may not be a permanant state. When you are able to raise beyond the concept of theist/atheist, you will again feel enlightened. Its an ongoing process until you realize the ultimate truth. So keep your search going on, don't hurry to make a conclusion. Conclusions are for impatients and fools. In the end, let me share quote form a book i read :"Within infinite myths lies eternal truth. Who sees it all? Varuna has but a thousand eyes. Indra, a hundred and I, only two."
