What haircut/hairstyle would look good on me?

The top layer just touches my shoulder and the bottom layer to my **** XD lol I want a hairstyle where i can keep my hair around the length it is. Other things i was considering besides a haircut is either highlights, die my hair blonde, or side bangs. Tell me what hair you think would look good on me! Post a pic link or describe it! Thanks x

How do you know what hairstyle looks best on you?
I have average, medium straight hair, but I always wonder what I looked like with short hair. But I'm too afraid to try it out because one time when I asked a lady to cut my hair into layers right below my shoulders, she misunderstood and cut it right at my shoulders! I thought I looked pretty ugly like that, but I wanna know if I can find another hairstyle besides my boring one that I can look nice in without actually cutting it. Help?

I currently have SUPER long, boring hair, (I haven't gotten it cut in nearly two years,) and I absolutely must change it. I really don't know much about haircuts or hairstyles because I'm not that into fashion, and I've had the same "non-hairstyle" for almost my entire life.
