How To Know What Someone Is Doing On My Computer

Is someone watching me through my computer?

Disabling the camera is not the solution only very small part of it.
Anything that has an Ip address and in connected to any network can be hacked. If is a wireless toy also can be hacked. Make sure you have strong authentication type and passwords. Those will help.
I don t know how technical are you but I can give you a simple example. go to your command prompt and type "netstat -a" to see all the open connections in your windows system.

If you see something you don t recognize, you can close the ports in the windows firewall. This don t always help because Malwares can open other ports and connect to your machine.

My suggestion, DONT DOWNLOAD ILEGAL SOFTWARE, MOVIES, MUSIC AND ANY OTHER DOCUMENTS FROM INTERNET. DONT INSERT USB MEDIA DEVICES OR USB CARDS FROM OTHER PEOPLE. HAVE YOUR ANTIVIRUS UPDATED ALL THE TIME. DONT VISIT WEBSITES THAT ARE NOT LEGIT (also be carefull with Google and Yahoo and Microsoft. I know they leave cookies on your browser to track your every action but that is not all ;) ).....I can suggest many other things but i am at work and i don t have much time now.

I Can Hear Someone Talking on my Computer?

Recently when im on my computer i can hear different people talking through my speakers. Sometimes i can understand them sometimes the voices gets faded. All i hear is like 4 seconds worth of speaking and cuts off. It happens every once in a while. its not a constant issue i have to deal with but it does happen at least 4 times a week. It may happen more but im not at my computer all the time. It scares the piss out of me when im sitting there and doing home work or something and hear a man talking through my computer. What could it be and what can i do to fix it.

Can I find out if someone is spying on my computer screen?

Please, read my answer thoroughly. First of all: If you believe you are being stalked, threatened, or spied on with nefarious intent, please contact the authorities. If you’re in the US, you should involve both your local police and the FBI.If not, the first thing you should do is to disconnect the computer in question from the internet. This will stop any software that could be recording your screen or sending your keystrokes over the internet.Do a walk through of your home and replace all door locks, make sure all windows and pet doors are secure. The attacker could be using a physical device to accomplish the same purpose. Look all over your computer, and if you see a device connected to it that you don’t know what the purpose of it is, disconnect it.Make a Live Linux USB offsite, and boot it up on the computer in question, and format your Windows boot drive. If you are afraid that there is some software on your computer that is spying on you, you can’t afford to back anything up. This software could be embedded on the drive, and if you back up your data, it could move to the new install without your knowledge. I’m sorry, but that’s the harsh reality of it. After this, get a Windows install disk and install a fresh copy of Windows on your computer.Again, if you believe that you are at all in danger because of these events, please contact whatever law enforcement is necessary. This is a very serious form of cyber crime.

Someone else can see my computer screen?

It is entirely possible. There are lots of programs that allow people to achieve this and depending on how they work they may or may not have to be on the same network.

At my workplace we use a program called LogMeIn to help with computer problems on computers that may be located in whole other states.

If you wan to get rid of the program, the first thing I would check is the Add/Remove Programs dialog (assuming you're using windows) for programs that may allow remote desktop viewing. MSN Messenger allows this but I believe it should notify you when someone starts viewing your desktop (and it should even ask for confirmation).

What I would do is head over to http://www.techsupportforum.com/security-center/virus-trojan-spyware-help/ or http://www.pchelpforum.com/spyware-adware/ and make a post regarding your concerns there and they should be able to help you out.

Someone was using my computer, what is this web page?

Hi,

So I will try to answer this without putting the full address on my computer just in case it does something I dont like :)

So the first part http://74.6.238.254 is the ip address. An IP Address is the address to a website, every website has it, but usually you don't see it. Usually you just type www.google.ca, but you would not type http://74.125.226.52/. It just doesn't look pretty and it is much harder to remember.

Now back to your question.
http://74.125.226.52/ stands for http://search.yahoo.com/

So basically someone was doing a search on yahoo on your computer. And they found something that links to http://www.bing.com/ that is why later in the link you provided you will see bingj.com

It seems it found a "Microbiological Incubator" document or something. When I paste
http://cc.bingj.com/cache.aspx?q=lji99990huuuiii&d=4658901525138056&mkt=en-US&setlang=en-US&w=e308a1e8,ad492d5&icp=1&.intl=us&sig=pO7G9_WmAZ6VICTqXwNDgQ--

Hope this helps.

Is someone using my computer id besides me? It say so when I log out.?

A few times already when I go to log out & shut down, I got a message that says "other people are logged into your computer, do you want to continue? I only have 1 computer, no one uses it but me. My brother did build it & is an adminstrator for Microsoft. Is he getting into my computer? My carrier couln't tell me if someone else is using my computer. A friend told me that someone could be piggybacking my id once I log in but they can't get into my files. How do I find out who is using my id or in my computer?

How do I know if anybody is using my computer in my absence?

Modern operating systems usually keep logs, at least ones with hard drives (a RaspBerry Pi or Beaglebone may not).Windows has a log for authentication events (people logging in to the desktop). Linux logs events via syslog, often in /var/log/secure.It's possible for someone to login as root and delete the log or remove entries, but it's hard to do without leaving evidence. It can be hard to tell if there has been an actual person using a computer, since modern systems have so much automated activity - applications that update themselves automatically, or send you messages, email clients that download new messages every few minutes, or even an actual service like a website or game server. So just looking for new files or CPU activity is not sufficient.
