How To Learn Glitch/electronic Music

What are some good glitch music websites?

Based on what you're looking for, I highly suggest you check out the IDM forums at >  IDMf - Electronic Music & Production Forum - IDMforums.com  There's a load of music posted there daily by forum members who are producers . Plus engaging discussions on all things glitch and IDM.

Why do people hate electronic music SO MUCH?

All I hear today is people ranting about electronic music and how it "sucks" and "takes no talent" to make. I don't like all that dubstep and brostep crap, I like glitch hop, electro house, and progressive house. 1st of all, electronic music is very hard to make, it can take months and months to make one song. I am trying to make electronic music right now and it is almost impossible to come up with something different and good sounding. 2nd of all, people think you just press random buttons on the computer, well you push keys on the piano, you pluck strings on the guitar, you hit pads and symbols on drums. Making electronic music is not using a computer, your using your mind. If you STILL don't believe me, try making some for yourself. Go out there and buy some softwares like ableton live or fl studio, a midi controller and try it. Its harder than you think, its like making any other music. So again, why do people hate electronic music so much?

What is the difference between dubstep, electronic, techno, and house music?

I'll just explain the three you've given:Also there's going to be a lot of examples. I've been flicking through my record collection.DUBSTEPDubstep is usually somewhere between 130-140 bpm, but mostly 140.The term is coined from the fusion of Jamaican style Dub music and 2-step.It's sub-genre of UK garage music so the beats tend to be of a breakbeat 2-step style. The snare will either be on the 3rd beat OR the 2nd and 4th for that faster 90s Garage style which uses a more fast-paced rhythm.Heavy use of triplet rhythms and cross-rhythms. Drums will also probably sound highly compressed, tight and mixed with a bit of reverb to sound a little more 'spacey'.Older dubstep tends to be more relaxed with lots of sub bass, the wobble doesn't always appear in older styles. Newer dubstep has aggressive drums and synths and a 4-to-the-floor beat is not uncommon.Older dubstep sounds more 'shuffle' than newer dubstep which sounds more 'dance'.Some examples of classic Dubstep tunes ranging from old-school to new-school:Ghost Rider - El-B (2007)Midnight Request Line - Skream (2005)Bass Cannon - Flux Pavilion (2011)Machine Gun - Noisia (2010)ELECTRONICRefers to any music with predominantly electronic instruments.TECHNOTechno is often characterised by a 4-to-the-floor beat although oldschool techno does contain breakbeats. Techno is typically 135-145 bpm.90s techno often has lots more percussion than synths and the main focus was rhythm. Modern techno tends to be more pop-influenced and melodic with simpler percussion.90s techno was a lot more 'futuristic' than today's techno. Modern techno is more melodic and pop-inspired. Examples ranging from old to new are below:Cybotron - Clear (1983)Chime - Orbital (1989)Kernkraft 400 - Zombie Nation (1999)Crazy. Sexy. Marvellous - Paffendorf (2002)HOUSEHouse also uses 4-to-the-floor beats like techno and also like techno, oldschool house contained more complex beats than modern house music. House music is normally 120-130 bpm.House music is more inspired by funk/disco if anything and sounds more 'groovy' than techno.Modern house has a more minimal feel to it with influences from modern electro.Examples below:Strings of Life - Rhythim is Rhithim (1987)Don't Stop - Ruff Driverz (1998)Killer - Starkillers (2008)Disclosure - Jaded (2015)

How do I fix my Sims Medieval glitch?

Enable Testingcheatsenabled.

If you don't know how:
1. If you installed the game in the default directory (on Vista, might be the same on XP, 7 or whatever you use), open:
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims Medieval\GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Ini... (right-click and choose edit)
2. Make sure it's not read-only - if it is, you need to go to properties and untick the Read-only box first.
3. In that file change TestingCheatsEnabled=0 to TestingcheatsEnabled=1
4. Save.

Open the game, control-shift-click on the stuck Sim, select "object..." and one of the "Reset" options.

SHOULD do the trick.

Does anyone else has fear of graphical glitches in video games?

I know this sounds weird, but I have an immense fear of graphical glitches in video games. You know, when the C.D. is dirty or has scratches the graphics in the game will, sometimes, mess up; for example, I could be playing a driving game like "grand theft auto" and all of a sudden I fall into the street and it looks all weird or sometime the street would disappear and reappear in the sky. When ever something like that happens I start to get all tense and shiver; it's weird. I've been like this ever since I've had my first video game. I was just wondering if anyone else suffers from this same fear...

Fable 2 - How Can I Overcome The Glitch At The End Of The Bloodstone Assault After The Great Shard?

Basically I destroy all the minions the shard spits out, I then destroy the shard and apparently Theresa is meant to teleport us somewhere? All characters are frozen apart from mine & the dog.
Does anyone know how to overcome this and is it a known glitch?

Is there any chill glitch hop?

There's a new wave of young artists that have chillwave, glitch hop, hip hop, trip hop influences. When you wrote this, I don't think they were as big, of course Bonobo, Flying Lotus and some others. Bonobo, Cahmere Cat, Emancipator, Flume, some Flying Lotus, xxyyxx, Giraffage, Ryan Hemsworth, Shlohmo, Zomby, Gold Panda, Slumberjack, Slow Magic. These are all club and indie djs for most part. For more hard glitch and trip with less of the sleak feeling of the above artists you got: Tipper, old school STS9, Flying Lotus, Aphex Twin (hit or miss for most folks). More of that "live" feel (they tour and hitup the jam electronic scene, think Disco Biscuits, Lotus, Electric Forest crowd), Big Gigantic, Break Science, EOTO, The Floozies, The Glitch Mob (more EDM scene), Gramatik's #digitalfreedom album, Griz, Pretty Lights (more trip and hip hop). There is endless and endless artists out there. I have figured that you have to find your clusters that vibe best with you. Another category of glitch is associated with the dj ill.Gates. He crosses a lot of genres. I think that scene and its underground is more rooted in psychedelia with IDM. May be too late when you were looking for some tuneage, hope it serves you well.
