How To Lucid Dream Again

How do you "lucid dream"?

Yes, definitely a lucid dream! A lucid dream is a dream where you are aware that you are dreaming, while dreaming. Some people think you need to have full control to be able to call it a lucid dream, but that's not true. If this was your first lucid dream, then I must say that you had great control!

There are many, many ways to induce lucid dreams. You already have an advantage, because you have found a technique that works for you. What you did this morning is what lucid dreamers call "wake back to bed" (WBTB). You simply get up and stay away awake for a little while (usually for 30-60 minutes, but less is often fine), and then you go back to bed, and try to have a lucid dream. Doing this increases your chance of having a lucid dream, especially if you combine it with another lucid dreaming induction technique.

So, as a starting tip, keep trying WBTB (just don't let it interfere with school, mmk?), and also, start keeping a dream journal. Writing down all your dreams increases your dream recall, and gets you familiar with what your dreams usually are like. Other than that, read up on websites and books about lucid dreaming, to get an idea of what the induction techniques are like.

Good luck, and sweet lucid dreams!

Why did I stop Lucid dreaming? How can I start lucid dreaming again?

Have you ever gone to the same fast food restaurant every day for a month? At some point in time, you will go to another restaurant even though it is further from the job because the closest restaurant has gotten bland. You have eaten everything on the menu at least once. You need something new.I think the brain can be like this. Many people who can’t remember their dreams don’t think they are dreaming. They just dream in deeper areas. REM is associated with more clarity in dreams but also in lucid dreams. One hypothesis is that it is closer in activity to our normal conscious state.I would not be too worried about lucidity of your dreams. I do not dream lucid all the time. Usually a maximum of twice a week. They do come back. It might be you have decided to try a new restaurant deeper within your subconscious and at a level further from consciousness and REM.Possibility of increasing their intensity and occurrence could lie in practicing mind exercises. First off it can’t hurt and you can kill two birds with one stone because it has been hypothesized in preventing mental issues that occur when you get older (you can fact check me on this, mainly because the sights will give you exercises to try).I try to reach a state in meditation that is as close to sleep as I can get, and then try to stay in this state placing images within my mind of past memories. Don’t worry if you fall asleep. It will happen. The goal is trying to maintain a state of consciousness.Wherever you are at, if you have to wait. Practice using your imagination or recall memories from your past. It’s like learning where everything is and finding faster ways to get to it so access of said memories can be retrieved faster in subconscious states. One of the things I did when I was younger was try to study the different meditation practices of other religions and belief systems. Understanding that each had a value in how it made the mind react uniquely. There are studies of how music stimulates many areas within the brain. Start to learn an instrument or listen to a style of music you don’t normally listen too. The mind reacts to sounds it hears and understands casually, but new variation may help in getting your mind to react creating new neural patterns.

Can you die while Lucid Dreaming?

I'm really frightened by my lucid and over-lapping dreams. I hear people have floated out of their bodies and nearly died, I still want to live a long life.

I had an over-lapping dream today and in the first one i thought i was actually home and then i fell asleep in the dream which turned into a sub dream where i began a lucid dream. Then after controlling the dream it suddenly ended, then i felt like i was slipping away and like i was elevating from my body, it was extremely frightening. Then i woke up back to my first dream where i was supposedly home and decided to go back to sleep and woke up into my real home.

I Can’t Control My lucid Dreams?

I know dreams often occur right before or as your body is waking up. I always have dreams right before I wake up in the morning. Maybe your problem isn't fighting to wake yourself up during lucid dreaming but it is another problem like light sleeping. Or perhaps noises in the night wake you up and the dreaming occurs as you are returning to consciousness. Either way I would try to see a sleep specialist to determine what the problem is because not getting adequate sleep can be harmful to your health.

I had a lucid dream last night. Is it more likely to happen again soon after or does it not make a difference?

It is not necessarily more likely now, however if you managed to get a 'feel' for how the lucid dream differed from normal dreams, you may be able to induce it. There are many ways you can repeat the experience, but it takes practice. The very first thing you must do is keep a dream journal. Every time you wake up, record anything you remember from your dreams, and I mean ANYTHING. Even if you do not actually remember dreaming, write down what emotion or anything you feel upon waking up. As you keep updating your journal, you will find that you start to remember more and more of your dreams. This is important, because there is almost no point in learning how to lucid dream at will if you wont remember most of the dream (although I find that whenever I have a lucid dream, I remember them well). Next, do some research, there are many techniques that one can use to induce a lucid dream drug free. A very effective one is WILD. Which stands for Waking Induced Lucid Dream. How long does it take to learn how to lucid dream?

Everyone is different. Normally, it will take on average, a month or so. I have known people who have gotten it in a couple of days and others who took 2–3 months. Here are some tips to speed up the process:Keep a Dream Journal : get a journal and set it next to your bed when you fall asleep. When you wake up, stay still. This is because when you move, your consciousness shifts from the dreams you had to the movement of your muscles. Also, as soon as you wake up, write down the key points of your dreams so you can expand later.Identifying Dream Signs : after a week or two, go through your journal. Do you recognize anything that is reoccurring? Maybe its that in every dream, you see water, or that you are on a cruise in a majority of your dreams. Identify those. Then, when you see those or even think of your “dream signs”, do a reality check.Reality Checks: Reality checks include looking at your clock / watch or counting your fingers. At one point, you will do it in a dream and realize that you are dreaming.Try Different Techniques: you will want try some different techniques besides the usual MILD or DILD techniques (realizing that you are dreaming spontaneously or doing a reality check). Make sure that you are able to remember 2–3 dreams per night before trying techniques. Here is a good link: Lucid Dreaming Techniques for BeginnersHope that this helps!Dream On :D
