How To Make A A-frame From Pvc Pipe For Pole Beans

What are some slang terms used among police officers?

The most derogatory terms for the bad guys and citizens who are just pains in the rectum:A.H. = Adam Henry (A-dam H-enry) If you don’t get it…..sometimes you will hear it as “Jack Hole”…..now what starts with an “A” that ends with HOLE ?RICHARD CRANIUM= What starts with a “D” and is a nickname for Richard ? What is the non-medical layman’s term for the Cranium ? Do these clues HEAD you in the right direction ?

How to make a a-frame from pvc pipe for pole beans?

For each frame get enough PVC pipe to cut three equal lengths. On mine, I would get two 10 foot sticks of 3/4-inch PVC. I like to use 3/4 because it is a little more rigid and would not spaghetti up so bad in the sun like 1/2-inch will.
So cut each stick to get three 5-foot lengths. Or cut to your desired length.
Now using a 1/4-inch drill, drill a hole clear through one end of the sticks about 1-inch down from the top.
Now get some bailing wire or any kind of wire and tie all three of the drilled ends together. Tie them loosely so that you can spread out the poles to make a T-pee like frame for your pole beans to grow up onto.
Easy Peasy!

If you want them to grow across to another T-Pee, then make two T-Pees and connect them together with a 10-foot PVC stick for the bean vine to grow across.

What are some amazing pictures one has to see twice to understand?

These are some pictures that prove there is a ‘glitch in the matrix’ and we’re living in it.Are these images the proof of what happens when parallel universes collide?Nonetheless, these images are fascinating and will make you wonder whether it is just a coincidence or if there really is an anomaly. Watch for yourself-This fascinating image from an everyday bus ride.I guess stripes are really IN right now.Are they long lost siblings?Even the Matrix star Keanu Reeves is baffled by the glitch he spotted.Either these two women are twins or the two guys are twins or Both. Confusing!Guess this guy just found his doppelganger.Twice the glitch. What’s going on here?Either the realities are colliding or leather jacket and jeans are really in fashion these days. But what’s up with golden brown hair?Well…Is this really an amusing picture or just these twins messing with our heads? These two kids from alternate realities.Catice in wonderland.Wait What? These two women shopped from the same store I think.Do they know each other? What’s up with this picture?Have the college girls started dressing similarly? The hair on these two women!Do women still wear Cheetah?Somebody explain this picture please.Multiple unicorns were flying randomly in the sky I guess. These cats are twinning. You know how some people say Cats have super powers.Did he model for that picture or a ‘coincidence’ again? Are they soulmates?Amm….Was it ‘wear checked shirts’ day?Is it ‘take your Twin brother to a subway ride’ day? This can’t be photoshopped right. And the glitch continues…They’re all together right?Oh well.Three time periods in one picture? Before and After? Can you show me a picture of your garden?

I would love to share some pics:Pole beans-They are facing SE and growing up concrete reinforcing wire. I grow Blue Coco and NorEaster.I have a cold frame in this pic. They were transplanted in March. A warming cable is used briefly till things warm up enough and the lid is closed at that time. This pic was taken in June. The variety is called 42 Day tomato. Seed came from Totally Tomatoes catalogue. What you are looking at are again pole beans. They are in a 4 X 6 ft raised bed. Inexpensive landscaping cloth from the $Tree and some indestructible plastic landscaping steps. I used old heavily weathered water bed wood to build the beds. They are growing up inexpensive metal trellis purchased from Aldi. This allows me to easily move them each spring. This is my irrigation set up. I use soaker hoses. I also use a timer. It turns on everyday by itself. I run it for 30 min each day. With my set up I do very little weeding and no hand watering of the vegetable patch. Here is a double row of tomatoes. The variety is Early Girl. You are looking at four ducks. They handle bug patrol and fertilizing. Ducks do not dig up the soil and destroy the garden. They also provide high quality poop water. The garden thrives on the duck fertilizer.

Why is a square section more efficient for a beam than a circular section having the same cross-sectional area to resist the same bending moment?

The moment of inertia of the beam is to be noted here. The moment of inertia is a direct indicator of the moment carrying capacity of the section considering all other factors are the same. So we have established that moment of inertia is important. Now, moment of inertia is purely dependent on the shape of the beam rather than the material property. So, for the moment of inertia to be higher the mass has to be distributed/located away from the centre of gravity. Also we have to look at this mass distribution in relation to the loading on the member. for a beam the major loading is unidirectional, generally in the major axis. So it is preferable to place as much mass as possible away from the COG in the direction of the load. This can only be achieved by a square/rectangular section where you can vary the depth independently without affecting the width. If you look at circular section the mass is distributed uniformly around the section and the mass distribution advantage cannot be taken here.Hence for a hoop stress situation or where loads are expected in all directions, such as a free standing column exposed to wind, the circular section will be effective and economical. And for a beam the square/rectangular sections are effective and preferable.Hope I answered your query, let me know if you need any clarifications.Cheers…

With Spring around the corner, are you planning your garden layout, do you have any pictures?

I have a barrel planter and 3 stair planters made out of upside down stair risers. The stair risers lean against a chain link fence and are about 10 -12 inches deep for each row. I can grow lettuce, dwarf snow peas, beans, greens, onions, etc in these stair planters. I usually have a spring crop and in mid summer plant a fall crop. Growing vertically gives me more growing space than growing on the soil. But I do also grow in ALL the soil in my front yard and back yard. I also have raised beds not pictured here. And I also have 3 long trellises made out of concrete reinforcement wire. These are supported by metal t-bars.I have a dwarf apple with 4 varieties, a strawberry and raspberry patch, blue berries, elderberries, hops, mint, lovage, comfrey, stinging nettles and some herbs which are perennial. I also have many perennial flowers in my boulevard bed and front flower border.I have chamomile and dill which self seed for me yearly and walking onions which always come back. Then I will start the seeds for tomatoes, zucchini, cucumber, lettuce, swiss chard, and basil indoors and also all the annual flowers. As early as March I sow outdoors in the barrel and stair planters peas. In late April I will transplant the lettuces, and chard.Mid May I will transplant most annual flowers, tomatoes, basil, cucumbers, zucchini, and I will plant beans from seed. Pole beans and bush beans.Oh, I also always grow cherry tomatoes in 2 upside down buckets hanging up high.I have 4 huge composters which I use every year. I have red wigglers in my compost so the compost is ready to use each year. I collect and add leaves which I shred in the fall. Every time I transplant or plant by seed, I incorporate compost into the soil.I have throughout many years, added supplements like azomite, Tennesee brown phospate, kelp, alfalfa, greensand and many other soil additives.I almost always add slow release Nutricote fertilizer when I plant transplants or seeds.Once summer gets hot, I mulch everything.I also rotate all my crops every year.My front yard has sun from Noon till night. The back yard has almost as much.I have a pretty small city lot, but every part of it is cultivated and taken care ofwith nurture .My garden has been featured in the local newspaper and many people have stopped to take pictures and talk to me about it.
