we did speeches several weeks ago. nervewracking, but its really nothing okay. so.... i started off with my name, but since you want a hook, i suggest the hook, then, 'hi my name is ___________________________ and im running for the class of___________ (if you have classes like class of 2012 or class of 2013)(for high school)" HOOK: yo homies listen up you could sing it.... some girl sang her speech to justin bieber's song baby..... use a popular song like..... bad romance: ra ra ra ahh ah ahhhh, roma, roma ma ahhh ga ga ooh la laaa.... i want __________ for vp you can make your speech rhyme. its very cool(; or rap if you want. or to b.o.b.'s 'nothin on you' except make it they've got nothin on meeeee, baby, nothin on meeee baby. cause they might say hi and i might say hey but i wont worry about what they say because they got nothin on meeeee babyyyy. nothin on meeeee! (and then begin with something like "why? because i'm the best candidate. why? well i'll tell you why!!") (make your speech short. even if it is very serious, people's attention spans are smaller now) (: tip: be sure to smile, and relaaaaax. its totally fine. if you screw up, it doesn't matter. laugh it off and continue. it makes you seems like you're at ease with public speaking and people don't want to vote for an uptight person. and wear a dark ish or white shirt. something that doesnt show if you got sweat pits(:
Gay adoption speech, i need a good hook.?
Okay, my speech is for it- pro. and some of the points are: -The child will grow up with an open mind, and be accepting towards others. -Homosexuals are also often adopting children that are crack babies, or teenagers( ones that are hard to place in homes)..and - If they're two loving people wanting to adopt a child. Why not? Its better than having the child in a foster home, or with a single parent. I'm not asking for your views, or how wrong you think gay adoption is, i'm asking if you can help me with a good hook for my persuasive essay. Thanks :)

I typically point out that we have nothing that can match nuclear's power output (coal comes the closest, and renewables bring up the rear). If you don't maintain them, you're asking 20 percent of the population to surrender their electricity. If it's a casual speech, you could ask which one in every five want to do that. (That's for the US, Europe is closer to 30 percent.) Very generally, it takes two coal plants for every one nuclear plant, ten wind farms for every one nuclear plant, and twenty solar stations for every one nuclear plant. That is not some easy slack to pick up.

I am doing a speech on surrogate mothers and how it is not beneficial to society and should be illegal. I need a hook to start my speech. I also need a "challenge" to get my class motivated and possible solutions to surrogacy. In case you were wondering, I am actually for surrogacy, I just had to write my paper as if i were against it because there was little information on more than one positive effect besides providing a child to a couple who can't have children.
