How do you make a paintball mesh mask?

I have played with a mesh mask before, and there is good and bad -Good:No lens fogNo need to smudge little specks off of your maskSeem to be a bit lighter and less prone to falling off your face.Bad:Not very fun to get shot in the eyes - recommend safety glasses underneath, but that kind of undermines a lot of the good things. While not as big of a deal to clean immediately in-game, a pain to clean later with paint stuck in the mesh.Slightly obscured vision when focusing out the mesh (not too bad)Now, the question was not if it was a good idea, but rather how to do it, so I'll get on to that. Just thought that stuff should be considered. If I was going to do it, I would take one of my old masks I don't much care for, perhaps one that has a broken visor already, and remove the visor.Finding the appropriate mesh would probably be the tough part. If you could pick up some aluminum (not fiberglass) window screen at a home supply store, that oughtta do the trick. I'd recommend either getting black, or spray painting it black so your eyes can focus it out more easily. Possibly even a dark green if you will be playing in woods/grass primarily. If your old visor fit into a slot, try to cut the screen (with tin snips) so it will slip into the same slot, thereby securing it well, and covering the sharp ends. Otherwise, just cut it to fit. I would then use some form of strong 2 part epoxy like JB minute weld (clear, comes in a syringe) to further secure it in place. After that, I'd think you are pretty much done.Maybe let me know how it goes, huh? ;)

If I wear a welding helmet at shade 13, what shade of welding goggles would I need under them to safely view a solar eclipse?

I did a bit of digging and found this welder’s glass shade scale.(Note: I do not know who might own rights to this chart. I present it with the belief that this constitutes fair use under copyright regulations. Any information on this material will be greatly appreciated. I will immediately remove this chart if requested by the rights holder.)Optical Density 5 (transmissivity of 0.001%) is recommended for safe solar observing. Note that this chart shows that Shade Number 13 has an Optical Density of 4.8, corresponding to 0.0016% transmissivity.Optical densities can be simply added and subtracted (they’re logarithms), so you’d need an additional 0.2 to meet the recommendation. That corresponds to about 63% transmissivity, roughly an ND2 photographic filter.Incidentally the formulas are:T = 10^(-OD) (the “^” character means “to the power of” — I still can’t get mathematics notation to work here)OD = -log TWhere:OD = optical densityT = transmissivity (per unit, i.e. per cent / 100)log is the common logarithm (i.e. base 10)

How to make a leatherface mask?

Okay, here are a few Leatherface masks for sale: http://frightcatalog.resultspage.com/hal...

But you asked specifically about making one, Here's the best way I can think of, go to your local fabric or leather store and purchase some raw leather in a shade resembling human flesh Then purchase a face form, either a cheap plastic mask or a Styrofoam head-form. Wrap the head-form or mask tightly with plasticwrap. Cut out eye holes, a mouth hole and nostrils in the leather, Cut a semicircle from where the ears begin and the forehead ends, then stitch crudely back together. Take the leather and brush the back with a mixture of Elmer's glue and water. lay over the face-form, allow to dry. attach lengths of wire to the back, along either side of the mouth. Be sure to use a photo to reference you mask against. This is a good one. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en...
Happy Halloween!

Any homemade whitening \ bleaching face mask?

Try this mix:
-honey (for repair of skin cells and happy glowing skin)
-lemon juice (for lightening the skin)
-olive oil (to moisturise, don't freak about it veil oil as the molecules are too big to get into the pores on skin)
-brown sugar (to exfoliate)

Mix three parts honey to one oil, one and a half lemon, two or three sugar.

Apply evenly over face and exfoliate for around a minute, then leave the mask to sit for 5-10 mins.

Exfoliate away gently with Luke warm water and use cleanser or face wash to remove any left over product.

Will putting two shades of welder's glass together work as solar glasses?

There is a 14. You just don't find it in many common stores. I had to order mine from the internet. You may pay more in postage than you do for the glass itself.

Personally, I wouldn't bother stacking lenses. It's just not worth the degradation in optical quality. Since the transit is almost over anyway, take your time and buy the right stuff.

But welder's glass probably isn't the right stuff. It's cheap, but here's something much better:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMzU0vjln...

If you do a bit of searching, you should be able to find a vendor that will sell you a small sheet or piece of solar safety film. From that you can make your own solar glasses, or filters for your telescope, binoculars, or camera You just need to cut it to size and fit it in a frame. Many just sandwich it between cardboard.

Here's another link to what most consider "the best" film: http://www.baader-planetarium.com/sofifo...

Get the film. You need to take better care of it, but the results are well worth it. Welder's glass gives you unwanted reflections due to the distances between the front and back surfaces. The film is so thin that it doesn't matter.

You may worry that the film doesn't look flat (as in the first video). It doesn't matter. As long as it isn't folded, creased, or wrinkled, getting a perfectly flat surface isn't necessary. It works great, and anybody should have the skills to work with the stuff.

Can i wear a mask at a poker table?

Probably not -- unless it's for verifiable health reasons, such as you have pneumonia or hepatitis. They might not let you play then, though.

What is the meaning to this quote:Wear a mask that grins and lies,it hides our cheeks and shades our eyes.....?

This quote deals with the idea that we all tend to put on a facade (mask) in life, hiding our true feelings and selves in order to better conform to society. I like the "with torn and broken hearts we smile" because I think everyone can remember a time when they've had to pretend to be happy while hurting on the inside.

Personally I think it's a great quote and would make a cool tat. I have a quote tat as well but in Gaelic (I'm born and raised in Ireland). This also mimics a quote I like from the film "V for Vendetta" that states: "we wear a mask for so long we forget who we were underneath."

How can I create the different shades of yellow (three dimensional effect) of a cracker in Photoshop?

I used layer effects to get create a cracker in Photoshop. Layer effects will work around the edges of a layer, even inside of it. You will see what I mean when I post the images.I opened your cracker picture in Photoshop, and double clicked the layer in the layer panel to unlock it. Then I selected the background with the magic wand tool to remove the background, including inside the holes. I created a new layer filled with white behind my original to provide a background.Double click the layer in the layer panel again to open the layer style window. Click the check box for Color Overlay in the list on the left. Use the color picker to select a cracker color you think looks good. This is what it should look like. Now check the Bevel and Emboss check box and input these settings (or what you think looks best)I also added a texture to the bevel to give it a more organic look. I chose the Light Marble texture which is the 7th texture in the default texture list.Your cracker should look like thisI decided to add a drop shadow as well.It looks pretty crackery to me, now. But let's add some salt. Close the layer style window and use the hotkey ctrl/cmd+j to duplicate your layer. Then at the bottom of the layer panel click the create mask button while holding Alt. This will create a mask concealing the entire layer. Use the brush to paint white on the mask wherever you want salt. You can use the original image to paint over by clicking the eye icon next to "effects" under your cracker layer in the layer panel. Make sure you paint on the mask and not the actual image by clicking the black box next to your layer. When you are done painting, double click the new layer in the panel to open the layer style window, and un-check the boxes other than color overlay for now. Select color overlay and choose a very light gray-ish color. Then add a bevel similar to this. It's pretty much done, but I think the salt is too solid. I close the layer style window and reduce the layer opacity to taste.Your finished product will look something like this.
