Sony Walkman Mp3 Player won't turn on.?

How long have you had your player? Have you dropped it a lot recently?

Anyway, I've had this issue before with my Walkman. Make sure it's not set to "hold". If it is switch off the hold function. Plug it into the computer and let it set for 30 minutes to an hour charging --even if nothing shows on the screen. After letting it do this, unplug it from the computer and attempt to turn it on again by pressing the "option" button that doubles as an on/off switch.

Hope this helps.

How Do I put Album Art on my Sony Walkman?

Download a program called MP3Tag from:
http://www.mp3tag.de/en/
Run it.
Point it to your music directory through 'File'>'Change directory'
Select all songs on an album.
Make sure you select 'keep' from the 'comment' box in the left hand pane.
Right click in the album cover square and 'Add cover'
Navigate to you cover.
Then 'Save'
Put your songs back on the Walkman.
Works for me.

What is the difference between a walkman and a mp3 player?

WELL.

The term 'walkman' was originally colloquial for portable stereos back through the late 70's to the 90's. It's actually a brand name used and owned by Sony. Sony's portable stereos were most well known throughout the industry and amongst consumers so that's why the term 'walkman' became colloquial. But now, Apple is the most known producer for portable mp3 players, so a lot of people will use the term 'iPod' instead of 'mp3 player' or other mp3 player brand names.

Sony still produce mp3 players under the name 'Walkman' and they still use the same 'W' logo to promote brand loyalty. There is really little difference sound-wise between Sony's mp3 Walkman and Apple's iPod. In my opinion, it's all just a matter of brand loyalty when it comes to consumers choosing Walkman over iPod (and maybe price :p)

For home audio-recording, has anything replaced the audio-cassette?

First of, I am an 80s kid and was born in the early 80s. When it comes to making my very own home audio-recordings, I ALWAYS depend very heavily on audio-cassettes and have lived my life by them when it comes to recording all kinds of home-uses (e.g. audio-letter to a faraway friend. Audio-diary for the future. Making my very own audio-book or even doing secret recordings).

But, for me, this begs a very good and mysterious question. The music record player was replaced by the music audio-tape player. The music audio-tape player was replaced by the music CD player. The music CD player has not been replaced, but has been accompanied by other musical devices, such as the MP3 player.

For recording purposes, the Video recorder has been replaced by the DVD burner. BUT..........when it comes to making AUDIO-home recordings.....DID ANYTHING ever replace the audio-tape recorder? Was any other intention created to make home audio-recordings in place of audio-cassettes?

If such an invention was ever created, then PLEASE....someone tell me all about it. I'm really, REALLY interested to know. What IS this new, up to date, home-recording device for audio called and how do you use it? If I wanted to sit down at a table with an audio-recording device in front of me so that I could read a book onto tape or something, what would I use in place of the tape recorder?

When it comes to making home audio-recordings, I will ALWAYS love and stay very loyal to the good, old-fashioned, traditional tape and tape recorder, as they are still very plentiful over here in Scotland, UK, alongside our many DIGITAL electronics.

My Sony tape recorder is my best friend, LOL! (^_^)

Additional question....does anyone else still love their cute little audio-tapes and tape players/recorders? I LOVE RAVAGE THE TAPE FROM TRANSFORMERS TOO, LOL!

What are some good MP3 player recommendations?

This question needs refinement. Do you mean a HARDWARE mp3 player, or a SOFTWARE mp3 player? If software, there are plenty to choose from, and what works best for you will come down to what you expect of a player.Do you just want a player, or do you want library management as well?If you are simply after a no-fuss mp3 player, two of the best are VLC player (Free multimedia solutions for all OS!) and FooBar (although I myself have never used FooBar, I've always heard its fans rave about it).If you want library management and tag editing thrown in, I honestly believe the most underrated piece of software out there is MediaMonkey (MediaMonkey " Free Media Jukebox, Music Manager, CD Ripper & Converter) which comes in both a free and a paid (but very cheap) version. I bought the paid version about 10 years ago (back then, it was a lifetime licence for $50, not sure how much it costs these days) and I still use it on a daily basis. Where the abhorrent iTunes will bog down to a crawl (at least on a PC, I wouldn't know about Mac) once you add more than about 10,000 tracks to the library, MediaMonkey happily flies along with the 150,000+ tracks I have in my library. Each to their own.If you were after hardware recommendations, sorry, I can't help.

Why can't I scan my Sony Walkman (portable digital music player having USB) with my antivirus on my PC? Right clicking on it shows a dedicated default unique tray unlike other removable drives.

Bcoz it is mounted as an MTP device not a Removeable disk. If you have memory card. Remove memory card and Connect it with a Card reader. Then u can Scan.

What are the causes of static in headphones plugged into an mp3 player?

Using any music app or video app, the music gets random static bursts. So very annoying. Have tried unplugging and reconnecting from both the phone and input jack of car audio. Car is a dodge dart. Bought a new auxiliary audio cable, but same issues continue.I used: The Ultimate Guide On How To Make Beats from Home – Stuart Baliny – MediumI am an Uber driver and need this to work with the Uber Pandora app. I have same problem which ever music app i use. Im almost sure it is the phone with the problem.I believe your correct. This 3rd ring could likely be for the microphone, which tricks the phone some how to cause static. In guessing the mic is activated sometimes.Im trying it tomorrow. You buy a headphones spliter from radioshack. It turns one audio port into two ports. It has the same 2 ring headphone plug instead of the 3rd ring plug. This i believe will work! Clever huh? I shall see tomorrowI have the same issue and would like an answer. I am still trying different aux options with mixed results. Rather annoying on such an expensive phone.I have a S7 and I have tried a straight aux to a stereo in a car, threw that away and have not tried a replacement yet. Tried a cheap set of ear bids, maxwell, better but still static. AmOk, after further review, the aux plug on the left is from a maxell headset. The one on the right is a Sumsung ear bud headset that came with the phone. Now the issue is to find an aux cable with that style plug on it with at least on one, if not both ends to the newer style to test on stereo in vehicle.I believe your correct.
