How To Make My Mom Cancel My Cruise Trip

Would you stay at the bottom of a cruise ship?

I take at least two 7 day cruises every year. I'm also on a budget. I'm a single mom, and every year I treat my mom and my lil girl to a cruise. This year I've decided to bring my niece along. We always opt for an inside stateroom and travel in the fall. We always sail on Disney, so they're a lil more expensive then some of the others lines but I'm traveling with kids so the extra $$ is worth it. Personally, I am very picky when selecting my cabin...I DON'T choose cabins that are near elevators, or directly above or below highly trafficked area...like a restaurant, night club, casino, etc...this is because of the noise. The lower you are on the ship..it does decrease the motion slightly but you can hear some engine noise..and the crew sleeps below you..again more noise. I always choose deck 6 or 7 and I prefer my cabin to be all the way forward or all the way at the rear of the ship..again it reduces noise.

Quince or cruise??

I'm 14 years old and Cuban. It's a traditional to have a quinceanera (sweet 15) but they are also very expensive like thousands of dollars. My cousin recently had one that was $20,000. My mom gave me an option to have the quinceanera party or go to Miami and ge pictures taken in my quince dress and make an album and while we were still there go on a cruise. Or we could stay at a hotel on the beach for a week. I don't know which to choose. The quince is one night but very memorable and the cruise and hotel are a week and fun. someone help me to some what come to a decision!!!!

Passport help surprising my Mom with a cruise!?

My Dad and I want to surprise my Mom with a cruise to Mexico. We have most of it all planned out, but we need to renew her passport, which requires a new passport photo. Does anyone have an idea on how we can get her to take this picture without giving away our plan? Thanks!

Can you give me tips on a good Alaskan cruise?

I want to take my 87 year old mother on an Alaskan cruise around June or July of 2007. She has voiced a desire to see Alaska. Can you tell me the best, yet economical, cruise line and the best time to book, early or last minute. I've never been on a cruise and would appreciate any advise available. Thanks.

Is a Disney Cruise worth the extra money?

If your son loves Disney and wants to be around the Disney characters all day and evening then it is probably worth it to YOU to give him that experience. You will likely pay about 25% more for a Disney cruise vs one on another cruise line like Royal Caribbean or Carnival. MY preference would be a Royal Caribbean cruise and their ships do have the Dream Works Characters.

What's included, all food including breakfast, lunch dinner, snacks plus and free room service, soft drinks, coffee, hot and cold teas, lemonade or punch, juices, milk, and deserts of all types. You will have the use of all of the facilities on the ship including pools and hot tubs, the gym, and all of the entertainment is also included. Alcoholic beverages are extra. Disney ships do not have a casino. At port stops you can get off and back on the ship as much as you want, no charge. If you want to go on a ship's sponsored excursion that's extra. If you want to buy any of the photos the ship will take of you and family you must pay for them; just take your own cameras and take all the photos you want.

If you have not already booked Disney price a cruise on another cruise line first to see how much extra you will be paying. All of the cruise line have kids programs that are free, and special areas of the ship where kids programs are held.

The one extra that you will have to pay is gratuities and they will be about $13.00 per day per person including the 6 year old. So factor that into your total cost.
