How To Make Nothing Else Matter More Than The Present Activity In The Present Moment

How many of you believe that matter is the only reality in the world?

the observer collapses the wave function simply by observing.

the observer chooses, out of the quantum possibilities presented by the object, the actual event of the experience but before the collapse of possibilities, the observer himself (his/her brain) consists of possibilities and is not manifest. So we can posit the paradox as a circularity: observer (brain) is needed for collapsing the quantum possibility of an object; but collapse is needed for manifesting the observer (brain). No collapse without an observer ; but no observer without a collapse.

Perhaps consciousness collapses the possibility waves of both observer (brain) and the object from the transcendent reality of the ground of being that consciousness represents.

By you avatar, it seems you are interested in math. Have you read Hofstadter? If so, consider the liar's paradox. It is a tangled hierarchy

Does anything matter at a cosmic level ? Isn't life meaningless. ?

The Cosmos does have its own consciousness and so its own ecology. The Earth does share in the consciousness of the Cosmos and does have her own co-ecology so ever trying and making good order through good unfolding or most often through disasters and deadly battles.

In the ecology of the Earth there is a meaning and a teleological dream. When forms of life do form or do get annihilated, a superior meaning is at work.

Human life does have its own meaning while it belongs to a purpose or teleology of the Earth and of the Cosmos. Life is a material and ethereal or spiritual entity hopefully in progress in the activity of more or less assisted and assisting self-realization.

Human life has ever tended to self-realization through all the eons of earthly life. The self-realization has tentatively gone on through trial and experience with the hope of survival. The consciousness of human evolution does add to the consciousness of the Earth.

The human life does have its own immediate individual meaning and also a teleological meaning that we do not know much for sure about. Not yet, perhaps never at our present level of evolution, perhaps later, perhaps after change, perhaps after a great metamorphosis or even a sequel of wondrous or weird metamorphoses never thought of that can be leading on to a great apotheosis of glowing certainty and of delicious as if perennial bliss.

I am not joking, not at all! Good luck!

What is the best way to live life in present moments?

A2A - What is the best way to live life in present moments?By following these rules:1. Know yourself. 2. Do what is best for your soul. 3. Leave the rest up to God.These rules are profoundly simple, yet more difficult than you can ever imagine. Many never come to fully understand even the first one. And try though you must, how do you do what is best for your soul, if you do not know yourself in the first place? Finally, leaving the rest up to God? To place yourself in God’s Hand and accept His will over your own will? It would be easier to move a mountain for some people. And while these three rules are a process, they are also a simultaneous endeavor. It is not a matter of waiting to finish one to start the next. They are accomplished by hard work at all three at once and together, working in harmony. For more, read my book, Evidence of Falsehood: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M3M...

How do I practice living in present?

I think this one is easier to answer by reversing.1. Don't live in the past.Remembering things is fine, when needed.  But don't live there.  If you're obsessing over something unpleasant that happened to you, or something wonderful that you wish could happen again, then you're missing what might be an even more wonderful moment right now!2.  Don't live in the future.Plan for the future, sure.  And its ok to look forward to something.  But your greatest adventure is not what you're going to do when you grow up, or get married, or retire, or go on vacation.  Its what is going on, right now, today.3. Don't live in your thoughts.Thinking is great.  But keep it a tool, not your whole existence. Ever drive to work, and realize you were so preocupied with your thoughts that you have no memory of the drive?  Wonder what you might have missed?Once you strip out these things, what you have left with is the present. What helps me sometimes on top of this is to remind myself to appreciate the wonder of everything I see.  Take a look at great art or photographs once in a while.  Even if they're not pretty, they can still be exquisite art.  Open your eyes as you walk down a dreary grey street, and realize that its a PERFECT dreary gray street.  It captures the essence of dreariness - imagine it hanging on the wall of a high class gallery.  When you open your eyes and really see, the world becomes amazing beyond comprehension.

What does it mean to live in the moment?

Living in the moment means enjoying every minute of what you do and your life in general. Don't ever have regrets, and if you do, just leave them behind. It doesn't necessarily mean that "seize the day" thing everybody seems to be guided by nowadays. It's more like enjoying yourself and being at peace with who you are and the activities that you do, It also means loving and caring about the people who are around you, no matter what they look like or how much money they have as long as they're good people.

Do you believe everything happens for a reason?

I don't think that I do. And I don't mean that it has to be religious, or spiritual even, but do you in general think that what happens to you today or tomorrow is really always meant to happen, has been waiting to happen, etc.? Like I said I don't think I believe this. But I also don't understand why some things happen then or what the point of them happening is
