I can't move emails from my inbox to folders?

I click the small box to the left of the email I want to move, then, using my cursor, move it to the intended folder. When I do this, I can click the small box w/an "x", but cannot move the message. I also try clicking the intended message, and then clicking the "move" box on top, but nothing comes down from the move box like it used to do; it used to show folders I've created that I could move the message to. Now nothing.

Why my new emails goes to trash folder?

All of my new emails goes to Trash folder automatically. I don't know how can I fix it!?
I must select all of my new emails in Trash folder and move to Inbox everyday . Because after 2 days my Trash folder is empty automatically.

What does match case mean in the filters section of yahoo?

"Case" refers to the case of the letters - uppercase or lowercase.

If you select Match Case, then the case of the corresponding letters must match. For example, none of the following terms would result in a match with any of the others:

Case, case, CASE, CASe, cAsE, CaSe

If you wanted these terms to be equivalent, leave Match Case unchecked.

Edit: In other words, Match Case means that, for the purposes of the filter, "A" and "a" are different letters.

I hope this example will make it clearer:

I regularly receive mail from Amazon with the phrase "ship now" (all lowercase letters) in the subject. If I create a filter to direct these messages to a particular folder WITHOUT Match Case checked, then any message with the phrases "Ship Now", "Ship now" or "SHIP NOW" will also go to that folder. (This is known as a case-insensitive match.)

But that's probably not what I want, since Amazon always spells "ship now" in lowercase letters. If it's spelled differently, I can assume those messages are not from Amazon, so I DON'T want them to be filtered. I want a case-sensitive match and check the box next to Match Case. Now, messages with "ship now" in the subject go to the specified folder, but messages with "Ship Now", "Ship now" or "SHIP NOW" continue going to my inbox.

Another example (highly contrived, I admit):

Suppose you want mail from Wal Mart to go to a particular folder. You create your filter and everything seems to work fine until, one day, you sign up for a newsletter from a company called Wall Smart. (See, I told you it was highly contrived!)

You find that these newsletters are going to your Wal Mart folder because in a case-insensitive match "mart" and "Mart" are considered to be the same word. (Let's assume that Yahoo!'s filters will match partial words, just as email searches do.) That's not what you want so you go to your Wal Mart filter and check the box next to Match Case so that the filter can distinguish between the two.

then choose defrag.You can put this program on your desk top by right clicking on the icon you found in search for defrag.
Right click choose create short cut.This will put a short cut on your desk top.Then you can use as needed in future.
then go start on blue bar (task bar)
choose search or find
then choose all files and folders
then type in disk clean up
when you see this icon
double click
choose c drive
let it run
then click ok
so you dont have to do this again

Where is the preferences tab in yahoo mail?

Go to MY Account. You have to log in again as this is a secure area .Look for Edit my Marketing Preferences. Make sure those boxes are not checked. Because that's how those telemarketers track you down and send you Spam.

Now to locate Spam Filter. Go to Yahoo Mail page. To the extreme right, look for Mail Options. Locate the Filters. This is where you create folders or filters. and designate any messages to any folders you wish. Allow traffic to family and friends. In here you have to have specific headers. Any variance will render these filters usless.

Make sure all your family and friends are in your address book and or messenger list. So messages from them won't be recognized as Spam. Under Spam, Protection. Spam Filter
SpamGuard is On.

For messages SpamGuard identifies as Spam:

Immediately delete these messages upon receipt. (Note: If you choose this option, you will not be able to review the messages before they are deleted.)

Save these messages in the Bulk Folder for 1 week2 weeks or 1 month.

Mark Spam + Not Spam
When I mark a message as Spam, in addition to deleting the message:

Add the sender's email address to my blocked addresses list

When I mark a message in the Bulk folder as Not Spam:

Move the message to my Inbox


Next, go to General Preferences. Under Special Folders, check the box that states to direct unsolicited mails to the Bulk Folder.
