How To Make Websites Into Thinking I

Is there a way to "trick" a website into thinking you're from a different country?

There's an event coming up (the crossfit games) and the only way to watch it is if you have cable tv and are subscribed to the espn3 channel. However everywhere else outside the US gets to stream it live for free regardless of whether or not their paying for a sports package or whatever for their tv.

I've used proxys before and i thought i remembered seeing something about masking your ip address to make it seem like you were from somewhere else like Ireland or wherever you wanted basically. Can someone explain how to do that if its possible and it would work for that situation?

How can I trick a website into thinking I'm from America?

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to purchase an e-book off an authorised website but they don't sell to Australian customers and thus won't even load the web page for me. I have tried changing my IP address with American IP addresses I have found on the internet, but then the internet just doesn't connect. I'm using Windows 7.

Does anyone have any ideas on what I could do?

Thank you!

How can I make a website think my ip adress is american or from another country?

Following this link you will get the list of free proxy servers, and there you can choose from which country you want to access that particular website that is giving you a headache. At your disposal is over 100 IP location from all over the world and of course, there are some servers located in the United States which is what are you asking for in the question you stated about. If you are looking for a long-term solution, then my recommendation would be to get yourself a reliable VPN provider that is capable of providing service from where you are. Generally, the farther away you are from the server you are accessing the more time it will take for it to respond, that’s why some of those VPN services feel so slow. That’s not the case with Hide My IP, more information regarding this particular provider can be found on their website.

Is it hard to make a website?

You'll love this answer - it depends.Making a website can technically be easy if you stick with plain HTML/CSS/JS. However over the last few years especially there has been an explosion in the number of frameworks out there for web development, things such as:Sass/Stylus/Less - For writing cleaner CSSjQuery/Angular/React - For helping your website be more dynamicGrunt/Gulp - For automating tasks such as compressing javascript, or compiling stylesheetsThese things are great, but they do increase the barrier to entry since there are more abstractions to learn. So my advice is if you want to make a website start with just the basics ... a single HTML file and a single CSS/JS file. The reason I recommend this approach is because it will help you better understand what's going on under the hood. If you do things more manually at first you will gain a better appreciation for what other tools/libraries add for you. Then over time when you use these tools it won't seem like magic. Also if you're making a simple website you should check out Amazon S3 to host that website. Think of it like a folder with unlimited storage space that you can drop your website files into. It will also cost you very little to host your site (think pennies).A few other resources to check out for creating a website are:Make a Websitehttps://teamtreehouse.com/librar...How to Make a Web Site: The Complete Beginner's Guide

Can I trick skype into thinking it's in another country?

Hello everyone, okay here is some background information:
I am currently in portugal and want to make free calls to the United States. I am here on vacation and to call from a phone is very expensive. I work alot with computers and networking so I was thinking, Skype allows free calls inside the US and Canada. So if you are in america and want to call your cousin in California, you can.

Here is my question:
Would I be able to set up a proxy in Skype, a proxy that is in the US and is annonymous? So that when i call from Skype, it thinks that i am in the US and therefore my calls to anyone there are free. I think it's possible, it definitely is a good theory, but I want to know for sure.

How to make web browser think you are in US?

It really has nothing, or not much, to do with the browser, it comes down to the IP Address that your ISP is providing you with which is then detected by A website that you're trying to log into, for example:

If i try to go onto NBC.com to check out a re-run of a show like "The Office" or something similar, it wont allow me to do so due to the fact that their system has detected that i live somewhere else besides the US (Mexico btw).

So the way around this is through a proxy server, a proxy server will simulate your IP address fooling A Website system into thinking that you're actually in the US, thus letting you watch any website within the US with an IP Block.

This is the same for other websites and not just US sites, you'll need another proxy that will simulate you being in the UK if you want to see BBC programming.

Proxy is a bit tedious but once you get familiar with its function, it becomes pretty standard, my best suggestion would be to get Firefox and download the plugging "Foxy Proxy" which will let you configure a proxy server within your browser, though you'll still have to google for a Proxy IP Address, which you can find very easily, the problem is finding a Proxy IP Address that actually works since many of them seem to be down.

There are websites that can actually hide your IP address from a website that's looking for it to grant you access onto the site, this are very common in work places where the servers usually have sites like facebook or myspace blocked to avoid their employees from accessing this sites. Websites like hidemyass.com is one of them free hide-my-ip-address type of service, there are lots more on the internet.

Hope that helps.
