How should I make my study timetable for ICSE board exams?

I would like to address this question with my personal experience..since there is not much time left so one should start preparing seriously.Try to wake up early in the morning before the sun rise, this will give a head start , dont forget to have a little excercise and indulge yourself in studies .Make a proper timetable , you should devote more time in hard subjects.but not the entire time on that only.Make sure that you study all tge subjects everyday , should not devote an entire day for just one.Avoid forcing yourself to study late at nightHave a proper diet, keep a water bottle near you while studying .since water contain oxygen in dissolve form so its good for your brain. If you have history as your subject and you find hard time remembering all the events ,try watching documetry about it on youtube .Dont keep any other subject books or notes near you while studying another subject.this will prevent you from unnecessary worrying. And remember success is the result of little effort made everyday…

How to get 100% on the exams?

1) Print of a syllabus.

2) Go through each point on that syllabus, as that is what the exam board wants you to know.

3) Revise each point as you go through them, and everything in that point.

4) Get revision guide books for that subject.

5) Eat well, sleep well and drink well. Keep Healthy.

6) Don't work late into the night.

7) WRITE OUT notes instead of just reading.

8) After all that, do past papers, on the questions you get wrong, write down what topic it was and revise the whole topic. Once you do that, do another paper, and the same again.

How to study effectively for exams?

Get rid of all distractions and get your priorities right. Im hoping this is not last minute revision and you have been making notes all throughout the year. Look through what you have to learn for the exam, know your strengths and weaknesses, work on improving them. If there is a specification of a 'things to know list' given by your examiners, learn them !

Remember - Leave no stone unturned. (this is something an examiner said to me)

Good Luck (:

Have you ever crammed for an exam and done well?

Cramming - forced memorization - almost always fails in the long run.

While it may work for the current test - you will forget everything by the end of the day when the test is over. This doesnt solve the learning problem - just the taking test part for the immediate need....if the question came up the next day - you would not know the answer even though you got it right on the test you took yesterday.

So, how does one learn without cramming?

The best thing I have found to help is not to pull all nighters but to use what is learned each day some how. Repeat what you learn in class during conversation. Use the math you learn in actual calculations throughout the day. Talk history, philosophy etc with others and discuss what went on in class

While this may sound retarded to most people - just keep in mind - it takes an average person 7 times to hear something before he remembers it - if you can use or repeat items 7 times during the day then you will have gotten it and the need for cramming will disappear.

I went through 3 years of college using this technique, first year was my AS Computer Science, second was my BS Computer Info Systems and third year was my MS in Software Engineering. It works - you just have to train yourself to do it.
