How To Not Look Tacky Wearing A Flower Crown

Is wearing a tiara on your wedding day tacky or..?

So long as it is tasteful, I think some people can wear them and they don't look like they are trying to imitate royalty.
A little something, like this one, would be OK in my book: http://www.princessbridetiaras.com/Silve...
This one is too high & royal-looking for me and I think it goes into the tacky realm:

They aren't anything I would want to wear. My mom really wanted me to wear something so I bought a headband that had rhinestones on it and 2 rhinestone & pearl-bead flowers on the side. Nothing sticking up, but still a little something to wear in my hair.
This is almost exactly what I wore: http://www.princessbridetiaras.com/Silve...

Am I too old to wear Flower Crowns?

It depends what they look like and how you wear them.

If you keep your outfit simple, like a solid color maxi dress, or flowy cream shift dress, it will look great. Also if you're talking huge flower crowns (see Lana Del Rey), then that's too costume-y and tacky for every day wear. Try a small and simple head piece. Plenty of DIY tutorials on Youtube and online.

Lana is 26!! :) But she can rock anything given her job. lol

Acceptable for regular people: http://img1.etsystatic.com/008/0/6098289...

Wear what you like now. Once you're past 30, I think it's harder to take fashion risks and experiment with crazy trends!

Have fun!

Tiara and crown for wedding? Opinions?

Is it weird for me to want to wear a tiara and my fiance to wear a crown for our wedding? I want a King and Queen theme. I want to look royal. A HUGE BEAUTIFUL FAIRYTALE WEDDING to take photos and remember for life with my family and friends?

My fiance thinks I'm 'odd' or "having a childhood fantasy" to want to wear a tiara and for him to wear a crown..but it's MY wedding and I think it should be the way I want it. Is there anything wrong with this? Be honest. Thanks!

Why do most rich people wear simple clothes, and why do people who are not very rich tend to dress more exoticly?

I had a professor once who did a lot of research on this. All people attempt to impress their neighbors to some extant. There finances depend on what they can do and how they will do it. This is oversimplification, but his research basically showed the following.Poor people impress by what they wear— clothes, bling, etc. That is because they cannot afford to display in any other way.Middle class people impress by what they drive— A trendy car, or maybe a boat or a bunch of motorized “toys” like four wheelers. They can afford the “bling” but don’t want to look poor. However, they can’t afford to radically change their lifestyle to show off.Upper Middle Class and Wealthy people impress by either where they live or where they go— Some live in nice show houses in trendy neighborhoods. Some are the “millionaire next door” types that live in a regular house, but take a trip to Europe or the Amazon each year. Having an expensive car won’t impress any of their neighbors but they can’t afford to have a college named after them.Very wealthy people try to impress by what they do. The wealthiest like to have buildings named after them, like Carnegie Hall or the Geffen School of Medicine. Think about it. What could Bill Gates or Warren Buffet wear or dive that would make anyone more impressed. Help develop internet access for all the libraries in the US (Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation) or buy ABC Television and General Motors (Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway) and you have something. There are some theorists that say this effect actually works in the other direction. Poor people stay poor because they spend money on “bling” instead of saving for a decent vehicle. The trendy vehicles the middle class drive are usually too expensive, lose value and are bought with interest payments. This actually stops the middle class from becoming wealthy. The Upper Middle Class and Wealthy people end up spending too much in upkeep and property taxes on their homes. These people would say that the very wealthy became that way because they wae not concerned about how other people see their clothes, vehicle and home and concentrate on doing important things.Something interesting to think about.

Brown handmade leather shoes and black slim/straight fit pants make a timeless combination. If paired with right shirts, you will definitely get complimented for your neat and elegant fashion sense. Q: have you been any of these characters?...come on...you can tell us...we can keep a secret

If Hollywood actresses are so rich why do they wear such ugly dresses?

I shop at Goodwill and Salvation Army, and the location of the store has a lot to do with the clothing and shoes you’ll see on sale there. For example - the “nice” Goodwill in a better neighborhood is clean and well-arranged, but has some of the fugliest (in my personal opinion) stuff I’ve ever laid eyes on. Seriously… it’s like a group of hung-over designers walked in, looked around, threw up arts and crafts supplies on random fabric and left. Much of the “high-end” clothing looks like someone (maybe the aforementioned group of designers?) just whipped the upholstery off your granny’s ancient couch and made it into a hideous… whatever it is.Conversely, the “lower-end” Goodwill near me gets all kind of cool stuff, especially useful items like furniture and appliances. They get their share of fugly clothing too, but far less of it than the “nice” Goodwill. I know I can always go in there and find an armful of decent pieces that fit correctly. And I won’t look like your granny’s couch. As some responders have already stated, taste is an individual thing. As for Sarah’s dress… I don’t care for the material, color, or embellishment, but the style isn’t half bad. Would look better in a different material and color, IMO.
