How To Paint Your Family Orange

Why are my nails an orange color?

I’ve had this problem myself in years past - especially on my toenails. After months of confusion, I finally asked my manicurist what was happening to my toes! She understood the problem immediately. I was wearing, at the time, a bright reddish/pink nail color whenever I got a pedicure. I was getting pedicures about every six or seven weeks. I never removed the polish from my toes until the next pedicure when the manicurist used acetone to remove the polish herself. (I was getting manicures weekly with a pastel color, so I didn’t have this problem on my fingernails). As it was explained to me, if you leave polish on for several weeks at a time, the color can seep into your nails - even if you use a basecoat. Years later, I finally understood the importance of giving your nails a chance to “breathe” between mani/pedi appointments.I stopped using toenail polish sometime later and it took about three months for my natural-colored nails to grow back. Eventually, as my nails grew out, the orange-colored portions got clipped off.Having said this, if you don’t get your nails manicured either by yourself or at a nail salon, then you may have a completely different issue to address. Here’s a link to an article on SheKnows.com for further reading: How to Get Rid of Yellow Nails so You Can Actually Go Polish-FreeIf, after reading this article, you suspect that you may have a medical issue, then it’s recommended that you make an appointment to see your family doctor.

Can the juice from an orange damage car paint?

If it was only ten minutes and you washed it off it shouldn't but if it's left for a longer period then the citric acid can and will do damage. Same goes for bird droppings.

Is it illegal to paint the tip of a real gun orange?

It depends on where you live. Generally, it doesn't seem to be illegal on the federal level.

As far as I can find, few local restrictions exist and those that are relevant are only vaguely applicable.

A Nassau County law a few years back banned "deceptively colored" guns, but it was preempted by New York state law in court. That state code bans possession of "disguised guns", defined as "any weapon or device capable of being concealed on the person from which a shot can be discharged through the energy of an explosive and is designed and intended to appear to be something other than a gun." There is also now a NY amendment pending which would explicitly ban disguising a real firearm as a toy.

New Jersey sponsored a similar law, but I'm not sure whether it went anywhere.

Of course, it could be argued that legality is irrelevant; if you hold up a liquor store anywhere with a "fake" gun, you're going to be charged as though it was real and/or risk being shot at by police as though it was real.

How do you mix oil paint colors to make orange?

Start with whatever red you have and add it to whatever yellow you have.Experiment.White tends to blue colors...so the brightest orange goes right on top of the gesso base with no white added to it.  If you add white it will tend, not to make it brighter but instead to make it duller...more pink.  If you need to brighten with pigment, use Naples Yellow.Always remember that colors exist by degrees, degrees of tint or vivacity, degrees of light and dark.  And always remember that what is adjacent to a color effects the visual impact of the color.  That's what goes on in the mind.  So if you want to depict a really orange sun...surround it with its compliment or contrasting color.   If you want it to lean more yellow...then your contrasting color is more lavender...more purple-hued.  If you want it to lean more red, then you want greenish hues near to it.

What is Blue and orange mixed together?(paint related, preferably)?

Often a small amount of blue is added to orange to get a deeper, muted color for the shadows of an orange subject. Mixing pure orange and pure blue would theoretically give you a gray, but no paints are pure color, so you usually get a kind of brown.

Salmon pink but only if you have medium orange and pink. The color hues determine the variation as you can see above. I presume the pink gets darker down the line.
