How To Persuade Your Parents

How to persuade your parents to get you a bb gun?

Hi, I'm fourteen and I'm mature enough to handle a bb gun. I've fired a few before and I loved the feel to it. The one my friend has is a crappy spring pistol that needs to be pulled back before firing ( I had to say pull back cause ****** is blanked out). My point is I want one and my parents won't let me have one. My mom thinks I'm "dangerous" and I would accidentally shoot and kill someone, even though most bb guns and the one that I want cant kill anything but a bird. its a umarex px4 recon that shoots both pellets and 6mm bb's that go approximately 380 fps. I live in NYC and I plan on purchasing it here and bringing it over to my summer house in Turkey, where it's garden leads to an olive orchard and no one wanders there. I have the money and all just my parents don't let me. Is there anything I can do to persuade them? And my dad even though he had one when he was younger strongly refuses to buy one for me and would yell at me if i even brought the topic up. Can I do anything to get the pistol of my dreams?

Also if you are here to answer this please do not say google it, or say a one word response that won't do any good.
Thank you.

How can you convince/persuade your parents to let you get a piercing?

I deal with men and women every day who have piercings all over, including eyelids, eyebrows, tongues, lips, noses, cheeks, belly buttons (yes, they let them hang out) and other places, at the community college I work at. They all want an education to get a professional position. Guess what? Employers don't really want their professional employees to look like that. I've seen girls who wear black pearls on their lips that look like clumps of dried on snot. Not attractive. And while those holes might close, they leave scars. To say nothing of the fact that many of these piercings lead to some serious infections, and not just when it's first done. Sorry, dear, I'm with mom, wait until you are old enough and mature enough to consider all the consequences of this latest fad.

My GD had hers done a year or so ago, guess what, she can't enter nursing school unless it's gone and she tests negative for hepatitis because she's had one. Guess what--it's gone.

How do I persuade my parents to buy me a piano?

That is very cool that you are self taught and know that much already. The best way to persuade them is to start off by playing a few songs at a family party or something like that. But don’t just play any old song, play a song that is more on the difficult side like Fur Elise or something else by a famous composer that is impressive. The day after you play at a party, go and ask them for a piano. They might say yes but they might also say no. If they say no, then try learning some harder songs and playing them at another party and then asking them again. If you do that a few times then they should get you a piano but if they don’t then here is the all time trick to getting whatever you want. Offer to chip in on the price of the piano (if you can) or offer to do more chores. Maybe you only do three chores right now but if they get you a piano then you will do four or five chores everyday. Maybe your mom is having her book club meet at your house the next month and you can clean the house and make some snacks for them and she doesn’t have to do any of that. I have found that if you offer to do something in exchange for the thing you want, then parents are more likely to get it for you. Cheers.

How to persuade or convince my parents get a fish....?

Hi there Miss!

Getting a fish is a great idea. Not a huge responsibility but can still prove you are truly commited and responsible. They are great starter pets and are good for people who don''t want to have to do much work for their little guppies =)
So here are some reasons on how to persuade your parents:

~They are inexpensive

~They do not need time and commitment

~Great starter pets

~Most likely someone you know has one to get more information

~Can be kept almost anywhere in your house

Best of luck! ! ! !

How to persuade your parents to get you an airsoft gun?

at 14 its nearly impossible to convince them once they have already made their decision. You know your parents much better than we do, so just look for any positives to owning a airsoft that your parents might find interest in. like that fact that airsofting can take up idle time, and increase hand eye coordination, and they are inexpensive, and some are clear and are hard to mistake as real weapons, etc.

How do you persuade your parents if you are extremely willing for something and they are not agreeing to it?

Present your case well. Understand that your parents aren't being agreeable because they don't understand what you want to do and are worried for you. 1) Outline your plan of approach to your decision.2) Talk about the pros.3) Tell them how you will handle the cons.4) Show them that you have put a lot of though into your decision by addressing ALL their concerns.5) Stay calm and don't get annoyed when they question you (even if their question is silly).Have you ever seen a debate? You need to dispel all your opposition's points, introduce your own mechanism and make your own points known. Make sure you have a safety-net/plan B in place to counter any cons/fallout of your plan. Good luck.

How do you persuade your parents to buy something expensive for you?

Believe it or not, I never once tried to persuade my parents into buying expensive gifts (aside for my constant demand for a horse that I knew full well I was never going to get).I was the kid (now adult) that always requested practical gifts. Things that I can get use out of in some shape or form. Because of this, I've never really had to persuade. One year I asked for a whetstone. Dad gave me one. It wasn't new. It was an extra he already owned. Not even mad. It was exactly what I'd asked for. This year, he asked what my daughter might like for her birthday. My partner and I are tech savvy so we built her a computer but didn't have a desk for it. Dad sourced a nice sturdy second hand one. Score!I guess with my upbringing, we've been more needs focused than extravagant wants focused which is a little out of the ordinary.
