How To Prepare For 9th Grade

How to prepare for grade 9?

hey ,

ok so im going into grade 9 (in september ) i want to be prepared for like what to expect ( like home work) i just want to be prepared for everything ......

also what are some good tips for studying/ staying on top of school work & for keeping organized

Preparing for 9th grade? Help~?

Okay, here are the things people DON'T tell you:
(a lot of these are random, but helpful, i swear)

1.) It's okay to have more than one best friend
2.) USE A PLANNER, they may seem dorky or whatever, but i swear
you will need it
3.) Biology. whoo. PAY ATTENTION!!! sure you're like "of course im
going to" but it gets hard. take notes. better yet, get a tape recorder
and record the lesson.
4.) expect to read romeo and juliet. and most major book stores you
can get sparknotes. look for "no fear shakspear." it has the origional
version, and a plain english version.
5.) dont be afraid to ask for help. you may think you're going to look
like the dork who doesnt know what they're doing, but its your
diploma, not theirs.
6.) get to knopw your librarian. even if you dont read, they are the
mopst helpful people when it comes to ANY project.
7.) DO NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT procrastinate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! put off for a
day, maybe, but do it as soon as possible, really, tv is not that
important, nor myspace.
8.) stay away from drama. its all over the place, all four years. if its
not directly related to you (even if it's your best friend), stay the hell
out of it. its not worth it.
9.) if a bathroom smells like smoke, try not to go in there. you will
most likely get pegged as a smoker, even if you're not
10.) if you do smoke, do it at home. its not worth getting in trouble for.
11.) dont give your teacher too much crap...theyre underpaid and
under appreciated.

good luck

In chapter trigonometry you should solve these types of questions given below :Remember the formulas given below :Don't worry… It would be difficult but you can do it.Good luck...

Do we need to start preparing from 9th grade to get into top universities like Harvard?

Here’s the breakdown:Ninth grade is the perfect time to get ahead on a course before they get to difficult. Suggestions are: Math and Science. If you get some tutoring or self studying you could learn Algebra I & II in a year, or maybe skip Geometry. As long as you prepare, it’s possible to take AP Biology or AP Physics without taking the Pre-AP course.Obviously, get good grades. It’s a cumulative GPA colleges see.Take SAT II Subject Tests now. Or at least as soon as possible. Wait until junior year and you’ll be bombarded with other tests (APs, SAT, ACT, etc.). Harvard requires 2 of them, and some tests can be taken on topics you learn as an underclassmen (such as Math I).Think of activities that will make you stick out. Try to avoid competitions and ones where you know you won't be the very best. Varsity sports are great and all, but are you the best nationally, or even regionally? Be different. Here’s what I did:I could use my guitar talents to play gigs here or there, or I could become an instructor at a private institution, eventually starting my own tutoring branch there. The school district often asks for people with certain skills for weekly jobs, which looks impressive on my resume.Got a real estate license. It takes a bit of paperwork, but it took me 3 courses at the community college. Then, look for a firm new in the field.Focus on the things you care about and show commitment. Youth Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Orchestra, Winter Percussion, Marching Band, Percussion Ensemble. Band Council, and maybe throw in a year of your school’s leadership. The second I turned 18 (early in my senior year), I proposed the principal of a nearby elementary school in a bad area to start a Girl Scout troop there (with me as the troop leader), with goals for the school/community and skills girls in their position would benefit from.Harvard builds the top leaders of the world; they seek people who have original and innovative ideas.Tips:If you volunteer or join a club and realize it would remain the same if you were or weren't there, and realize you’re not incredibly passionate about it, it’s not helping you. Perhaps you won’t realize this right away, but as time goes on, you’ll know. Same goes with sports.Keep in mind the cost of attending an Ivy, so start planning economically.Build strong relationships with teachers, adults. Those letters of recommendation make or break some admissions.Good luck, and it’s never too early to plan ahead!

How should I start IIT-JEE preparation from 9th grade?

In my prospective, you should not think for JEE atleast now.You should focus on developing your scientific brain and personality that leads to real success in the life. You should learn at each and every moment of life. What you can do is to develop your basic concepts in PCM,solve elementary questions to improve your skills. You should participate in olympiads.Prefer MTG BOOKS to solve problems or you can get the PDFs from net easily.Must read NCERT textbooks thoroughly. You may join some coaching institutes to have feeling of cometition, patience, etc. unless no need.I didn't think for the JEE till the last moment and made it."Believe on Karma, not in result" this really works.my friend has got under 300 just starting coaching from 11th onwards,so cheer.
