How To Raise Money For A Vet Bill

How do you raise money for vet bills to help kittens I'm fostering?

If you can set up a Facebook page for your foster babies and mention youre raising money for the vet bills, set up a Go Fund Me and mention it on the Facebook page. Im not reall sure of any other way.

Does it save you money to raise your own animals for meat?

Generally not. Commercially-processed animals have economies of scale that you can’t match. There are vet bills, butchering bills, infrastructure costs, and others that add up very quickly. Supporting a meat animal purely on grass requires a lot of land, and water, and many animals will still require some kind of diet supplementation. And you usually get poults/calves/etc from elsewhere; raising your own requires even more infrastructure. After all that, you can still lose animals to predators, disease, bad luck*, bad weather, etc. and lose all of your costs.Plus, of course, your labor. That’s not a money-saver, but it cuts substantially into your life. You’d make more money going to get a minimum wage job with that time. For example… a chick will cost about a dollar. It would have to lay a dozen eggs just to break even. And it will cost even more to get that chick to the point where it’s ready to lay: a laying chicken will cost more like $10. Given the price of eggs at the grocery store, it will have to lay for months just to recoup its purchase price… assuming a neighborhood cat doesn’t get it first. That’s not to say you shouldn’t do it. I personally get as much of my animal products as I can from a farmer I know, because I like the way his animals are raised and I don’t like the way industrial farms work. But it’s not a cost-saving measure, and wouldn’t be if I did it myself.* Very common in farming.

How can I help my friend raise money to go on a bar trip?

I am not sure if "raising" the money is the right way to look at it.    Get creative.  For example, you are not alone at all.   There are a lot of law students that went to great schools that will also not have jobs but also want to go on a great bar trip.  You probably know them personally or at least will be around a ton during your bar studies.  So, all you need to do is assemble a "group trip".   There are a number of programs out there if you look that will not only allow you to all get an amazing deal if you go as a group of 20 or more but also the person organizing the entire trip gets a free trip.  I am sure you remember people selling spring break packages constantly in college. People did that often so they could get the free trip.   If this seems too hard, and requires too much work in terms of sales, then perhaps you may be an expert in something.  Buy low and sell high.  Many people that need the money buy and resell items on ebay and craigslist over and over again to make a monthly income.      With all that said, skip the  bar trip if the work of raising the money for the bar trip is going to possibly interfere with your studies and you end up not passing the bar.  It is a major hassle if you don't pass and that will really hurt the possibility of getting a job.

Yard sale to raise money for a friends cat, Should I?

My friends cat has lost 7 lbs, before she took it to a vet, she needs to do a huge amount of lab test and several X-RAYS. he absolutely does not have the money, I Said "Dina I have had my garage full of stuff for 2 years, since I have not used it I guess I truly do not need it, I will have a yard sale for you to raise as much money for you as I can". I also told her I wanted several signs make with the cats picture on it and we would say Cutie Pie needs Tests YARD SALE. have done this in the past and raised $750.00 one weekend, I had people actually simply giving donations once the saw the guinea pig and knew she indeed needed to have surgery.Diana manages an apartment house for seniors and today a couple of them offered to give $10.00, now she is all upset and said I can not advertise the yard sale, although she does understand it is a very important marketing tool.I had also told her today I am also kicking in some of my Gem stone collection, I was planing on taking some very collectible stones.(they are gonna be a steal for the buyers)

At this point I am so upset with her false pride I just want to walk away, however, the sick cat is bothering me.I was thinking I should tell her to suck it up and put a notice in the looby that I was doing the Yard Sale for Cutie Pie and if they wanted to do any thing they are welcome to donate an item to the yard sale. This way they are not out any money, I can hopefully raise close to $700.00, the cat can have all the tests it needs, and all should be well, Help here what should I do? Walk away? Make the donation suggestion? I am not willing to give my things away if we can not properly push it, it would be the difference between $150.00 to $700.00 I am open to any suggestions.

What happens if I don't have money for the vet?

Some of these people with their answers. Seriously? Rehome the ill dog, or outright not have it? Just let me go back in time really quick to not have a dog. I guess there are legions of people waiting for a dying dog.
Do you ever read the description like the rest, or just go wild when seeing the question?
I tell one of my employees to take my puppy frequently, but I suppose that if I ask something out of curiosity, it means I am poor like those random hobos that own dogs for some reason.

What is the maintenance cost of raising a pet rabbit?

Most people think rabbits are just living plush toys that can be handled whenever the owner decides to, they are not. They require lots of care and attention.Like many other rodents/small animals, the amount of money you’re gonna spend on a rabbit is pretty much one big purchase and then small purchases every month or two months. You’re gonna need a cage, food, bedding, a small house they can hide in, rabbit hay and toys. There’s also the recommended option of spaying and neutering, which might cost a lot but it’s worth it because it will increase your rabbit’s lifespan and keep them healthy. Personally, all of that (except the vet bills, it varies from vet to vet) cost me around 100 USD, but that’s because I found secondhand cages and such, it really depends, but be prepared for a big purchase at the beginning. After that, you’re gonna need to spend a few dollars every month (sometimes even 3 months) for bedding, hay and food. I have two small rabbits (I don’t think they’re dwarfs, just regular rabbits who are smaller than usual) and I spend around 10-15 USD every 3 months, maybe less. You’re gonna need to find a special vet, not all regular vets know how to spay or neuter a rabbit, so it might cost a bit. Also as far as my knowledge goes, rabbits don’t need any vaccines or any other special medical treatment like dogs and cats, so you won’t need to go to the vet often. The more time you can spend with your rabbits the better, I like to let them out of the cage when I’m in the room so I can watch out for them (don’t forget to rabbit-proof your room as well) and that way they spend a lot of time outside the cage doing whatever they want, play, exercise, nap, etcetera.Keeping your rabbit in its cage all day obviously won’t do well to it, every animal doesn’t do well when its in a cage all the time.I hope this helps and good luck!
